LESSONS LEARNT FROM OUR ZOOM MEETING ON BIBLE EXPOSITION 07/10/21

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen peace be with you all am delighted to be in the midst of my brethrens. Today here to share with you in summary the lessons I learnt from our zoom meeting on the Bible Exposition 07/10/21.

The title Pastors, Apostles belongs to Christ.

John10:11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

1 Peter 2:23 Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.2:25 For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls

This part of the scriptures affirms that Jesus Christ is the only one who own the titles Pastor, Bishop etc but not our church leaders. They are our brothers in Christ and what we can say about them is that they work with the functioning of these titles.

Ephesians 4:8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.4:11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;4:12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

We all must be called brothers for we have one teacher who is Christ.

Matthew 23:8 But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren.

• Question 2
Is speaking In tongues a sign of Spirit Baptism?
It is not true that the sign of spiritual baptism is speaking in tongues and it will be wrong to say that.

1 Corinthians 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
1 Corinthians 12:28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.12:29 Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles?12:31 But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way.

It is wrong to say that the first sign of baptism is speaking in tongues. Apostle Paul said if there is no interpreter we should tell those speaking in different language to remain silent.

1 Corinthians 14:28 But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God.

When a person speaks and there is no interpreter then he is speaking into the air.

1 Corinthians 14:9 So likewise ye, except ye utter by the tongue words easy to be understood, how shall it be known what is spoken? for ye shall speak into the air.

Signs of Holy Baptism

Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,5:23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Signs of the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Matthew 24:6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.24:7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.24:8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

The Church established by God is the Church of God

1 Timothy 3:15 But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.

• Question 4
Can sin be the means of separation of spouse?.
God is a merciful God and he is ever ready to forgive sins, for this He edge us to do the same to forgive people when they sin against us.

Hebrews 8:12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

Psalm 130:3 If thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?

But if the person is not ready to change from his old ways leave them for them not to corrupt you too.

Corinthians 15:33 Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.
