Pero esa no es la única trama en cuanto a romances se refiere, porque también están los amores imposibles, esa cortavena en la que después de tantas intrigas, envidias, miedos y un sinfín de contratiempos los protagonistas logran superar los obstáculos y ser felices para siempre o eso es lo que nos da a entender el final de la película.

Hay muchas producciones de este género que me encantan, una mejor que otra, pero hay una en particular que desde la primera vez que la vi me hizo reflexionar sobre lo que sería la demostración del verdadero amor. Esta película empieza por el final y me encanta porque nos hace un recorrido por la vida de dos amantes que llevan 7 años separados.
El Cuaderno o Diario de Noa o Diario de una Pasión es una película de 2004, tiene casi dos décadas pero les aseguro que al día de hoy es una de las películas que más ha enamorado al público.
Trama
Todo comienza en un lugar de retiro donde un de sus residentes le lee a la señora Hamilton (Gena Rowlands) que sufre demencia senil, un diario con la historia de dos jóvenes que se enamoran durante un verano, pero que su amor en los años 40, que es la década donde se ambienta la historia era un amor imposible, ya que Allie (Rachel McAdams) es de una clase alta dentro de la sociedad mientras que Noa (Ryan Gosling) es un joven trabajador de clase media baja.

Después de que se separan, Noa tiene el corazón roto y al no tener respuesta de Allie durante un año, asume que ella lo ha olvidado y que solo fue un amor de verano, pero aunque la historia está contada desde la perspectiva de Noa también podemos ver como lo estaba pasando Allie en ese momento, que piensa que Noa la ha olvidado o que quizás nunca estuvo enamorado.
Esta película te lleva por un mar de sentimientos que van desde el amor, la alegría, la desesperación, la intriga, el miedo, la decepción, la resignación y la tristeza. Me encanta que durante la lectura del Diario de Noa la historia recorre la vida de los personajes durante los 7 años y al mismo tiempo va al presente donde estos dos ancianos están disfrutando de un amor inolvidable entre estos dos jóvenes.

Toda la película me hace reflexionar que cuando nos enamoramos esperamos que ese amor loco e impulsivo de la juventud sea para siempre, que la persona que elegimos y que nos eligió se quede y nuestro amor crezca con el paso de los años y que el matrimonio sea para bien o para mal, en la salud y en la enfermedad y hasta que la muerte nos separe.
A veces el destino nos guía a un solo camino y no importa lo que pase en el medio, al menos eso es lo que insinúa esta película y lo que queremos creer. Hay un refrán que dice: “Si te toca, ni que te quites”. Cuántas personas no querrían que su primer amor fuera el primero y el último, que aunque pasen los años puedan volver a encontrarse y destruir todo lo que un día les separó. Sí, lo sé, soy demasiado pegajosa y romántica.
Me encanta esta película porque los personajes continuaron sus vidas durante 7 años, aunque Noa nunca pudo olvidar a Allie y siempre creyó que volvería al lugar donde vivieron momentos inolvidables, ella también vivió nuevas experiencias pero cuando tuvo que tomar la decisión más importante, tuvo una revelación que cambiaría su vida.
Personajes
Noa. Ryan Gosling en una de sus primeras apariciones en el cine y creo que la que catapultó su carrera como actor, para mí es uno de los actores más guapos que conozco, ha destacado por no encasillarse en personajes y por ello le hemos visto en películas de acción como Blaze 2043 y en la última que he visto El hombre invisible. Pero también en comedias o dramas románticos (que son mis favoritos) como en La la land, Loco y estúpido amor (me encanta este personaje de galán) y esta donde su personaje te enamora con su personalidad romántica, apasionada y luchadora.
Allie. Rachel McAdams, esta chica me encanta en todo lo que hace, es súper talentosa y no sé si es por su cara de niña buena, pero los personajes de este tipo son los que considero han sido más destacables en su carrera y me refiero a películas como Votos de amor, Cuestión de tiempo y Te amaré por siempre, esta última me encanta, es una adaptación de la novela “La mujer del viajero del tiempo” que por cierto HBO en 2021 estrenó una serie basada en la novela que lleva el mismo nombre pero con otra actriz en el papel principal. Volviendo al tema concluyó que estos personajes de drama romántico son perfectos para Rachel.

En conclusión, recomiendo esta película si te gusta el drama romántico que te enamora, suspira, ríe y llora. Muchos se preguntarán por qué me parece tan romántica si resulta ser sólo un amor juvenil donde los personajes se muestran enamorados y sienten que morirán si no están juntos, esto sería un cliché como cualquier otra película de este tipo, pero considero que no es sólo eso, porque para mí es una demostración de lo que estarías dispuesto a hacer por el amor de tu vida. Esto es lo que me fascina de esta película porque mientras otras se quedan en el felices para siempre, con esta vamos mucho más allá, es ver el día después de un amor para toda la vida.

I love both Noah and Allie, not necessarily Ryan and Rachel lol but they did a great job.
I understand what you said about rachel's good girl face, it did the job of portraying that childlike innocence she had when they first met. Noah's brooding aura complimented allie's spiritedness nicely and this made their chemistry electric.
I loved every second of this film. It made me cry and laugh, it had the perfect mix of all the right emotions. I think it'll forever be high on my list of faves because like you said it's going on two decades since it was released and it still manages to pull at our heartstrings. It's a classic and it'll probably remain so.❤️
