How to clean your beautyblender (ENG/SPA)
Hello, Internet people, today I wanted to do a little tutorial on how to wash your beautyblender, which, although at first it may seem a bit silly, has its trick to make it clean and that is precisely what I am going to talk about.
Hola, gente de Internet, hoy quería hacer un pequeño tutorial de como lavar tu beautyblender, que, aunque en un principio puede parecer un poco tonto, tiene su truco para que quede bien limpia y es de lo que precisamente voy a hablar.
The first thing to do, of course, is to wet it very well, but as it is a sponge, this should not be too difficult. It must be very wet so that the soap passes through it more easily.
Lo primero que debemos hacer y como es natural, tenemos que mojarla muy bien, teniendo en cuenta que es una esponja, no será algo muy dificil. Debe estar bien mojada para que el jabón pase al interior más fácilmente.
The second step is to apply soap, lots of soap, and then squeeze it from the bottom to the top to remove the trapped make-up residue from the sponge.
El segundo paso es aplicarle jabón, mucho jabón y posteriormente hay que apretarla desde abajo hasta arriba para sacar los restos de maquillaje que quedan atrapados dentro de la esponja.
Usually beautyblenders should be moistened before use so that the product stays mostly on the surface, otherwise the sponge would naturally absorb all the product far from depositing it on the skin. However, even when moistened, it is more than a possibility that the foundation or concealer will get into the centre of the sponge and therefore if it is not squeezed upwards, it will remain dirty inside the sponge.
Usualmente las beautyblenders deben humedecerse antes de usarse para que el producto se mantenga más que todo en la superficie, de lo contrario, la esponja como es natural absorbería todo el producto lejos de depositarlo en la piel. Sin embargo, aún humedeciéndose, es más que una posibilidad el hecho de que la base o corrector lleguen al centro de la esponja y por consiguiente si no la apretamos de forma ascendente, queden sucias en su interior
However, bear in mind that if your sponge is very dirty, you will probably have to repeat the process more than once, i.e. water, soap, squeeze from the bottom up and then put water, soap, etc. back in. The point is to do this process until the water runs clear.
Ahora bien, hay que tener en cuenta que si tu esponja esta muy sucia es probable que debas repetir el proceso más de una vez, es decir, agua, jabón, apretar de abajo hacia arriba y volver a poner agua, jabón, etc. El punto es hacer este proceso hasta que el agua salga transparente
Finally you must leave it to dry in a dry place (not in the bathroom or any damp area as it can get fungus) I for example left it drying in my room on a plate so that it does not get dirty with any surface, and once it is completely dry it is advisable to keep it in a box or makeup case where it will not fall dirt, dust or more makeup (to check if it is dry you must squeeze it, as it dries from the outside in and although it seems dry on the outside the most usual thing is that when you squeeze it you feel it damp).
Por último debes dejarla secando en un lugar seco (no en el baño ni ninguna zona húmeda ya que puede obtener hongos) yo por ejemplo la dejé secando en mi cuarto sobre un plato para que no se ensucie con ninguna superficie, y una vez que este totalmente seca es recomendable guardarla en una caja o estuche de maquillaje donde no vaya a caerle suciedad, polvo o más maquillaje (para comprobar si está seca la debes apretar, ya que se seca de afuera hacia adentro y aunque parezca seca por fuera lo más usual es que al apretarla la sientas húmeda)

La higiene de nuestros implementos de maquillaje es muy importante ya que van a estar en contacto con nuestra piel y un incorrecto mantenimiento de estas herramientas puede acarrear problemas sobre la piel como hongos, acné, sarpullidlos, urticaria, etc, así que para evitarlo es mejor lavar nuestras herramientas después de cada uso si nos maquillamos esporádicamente y cada dos días o tres si nuestro maquillaje es constante.

Pretty sure a lot of people struggle to get their beautyblender clean so this is a really helpful guide. The trick about squeezing from the bottom to the top makes so much sense. Thanks for saving our skin from germs.
