LESSONS LEARNT FROM BIBLE EXPOSITION ON 3-1-2022

Good day everybody.
I would like to share with us the powerful lessons I learnt from our Bible Exposition held on the third of January 2022 by Bro. Elisoriano.

The first scripture ponder on was James 3vs26

The lessons learnt from the scripture is the fact that we are alive because we have a spirit within us and that if works are not put into our faith that means our faith is dead. As we are lifeless without the spirit in us so is a faith dead without putting it to works.

I would like to encourage Christians to always put our work to faith. As the spirit in us makes us a living being so is work important to our faith to keep it alive.

Another important thing I learnt was about spiritual hunger for spiritual food which is the word of God.

According to John 6vs63, the word of the Lord are spirit and life. If we are hungry for the word of God as food then it emit into us God’s very life and the spirit of God

Matthew 4 vs 4 also teaches about how we are wired to thirst for spiritual food. The verse teaches that we are made not to live by bread alone but by the word which proceed out of the mouth of God.

Amos 8 vs 11 speaks about God sending a famine of his word to the world.

I would like to encourage we Christians to hunger and thirst for the word. The word of God is the spiritual food that we need to grow.

The word of God also is life to those that are dead. Is life in all areas of life that we are dead, it gives us life to live in all spheres of life. Because it is only when we have this life in us that we will be able to bring life to people that are dead around us also.

We also have sessions of questions and answers from different brethren from different part of the word of which I learnt a lot of which I will also like to share with us.

The first question was:

A brother from Isabele asked that” About salvation what is the proper way of living that will please our Lord and what is the proper way of engaging in business?

The answer bro Elisariano gave according to the help of God was that:
Philippians 1 vs 27 tells us to life by faith and not by sight and that the way of life in our time should be by faith.

Our manner of living is going to be base on the gospel

About the business: Starting a business should be something familiar with Christ. Our business should not cause evil to so many people.

A brethren from Mangaldan asked that “Which among the seven churches will be saved?

We were told that the church who has ear and is ready to repent will overcome and will not perish but will be saved.

A brethren from San Jose del Monte also asked that “What happen to people who are not preach to, will God forgive or judge them?

We were made to understand according to the book of 1 Corinthians 6 vs 13 that we have no right to judge. It is God who judges.

The Lord rewards the doer of the word and not the hearers.
That if by nature they didn’t hear any law but are doing the things of God that they will be justified

The fourth question was ‘ The Israelite are called the sons of God what about the gentiles?

I learnt from the answer given that we do not believe in Israel but in Christ and that is why the Lord also choose some of his disciples from the gentiles.

God also want the gentiles to be saved too.
In Corinthians 6 vs 16-18 God told the gentiles to depart from evil and touch not the unclean things and with this he will receive them.

The gentiles are also sons of God if they obey and believe in Christ

The fifth question is that ‘ Is the spirit of God being sent to acquaint or help is in the time of our weakness

The spirit of God strengthen us in our weakness according Romans 8 vs 26

Then the last question is ‘ When did the Holy Spirit inhabit the heart of man?

The important things I learnt from the respond was that : When the Holy Spirit inhabit our heart varies in time. There are different time and situation when the Holy Spirit might come to the heart of man.

The Holy Spirit can inhabit the heart of man even from the mother’s womb like Jeremiah and John the Holy Spirit inhabit them even from womb according to the book of Jeremiah 1 vs 5 and Luke 1 vs 15 respectively.

And the Holy Spirit can also inhabit the heart of man during baptism. There are people that receive after they have confess their sin.

And some might receive after baptism like the apostles receive after 3 years of communing with Christ

After confessing our sins , repent and have faith then God will send his spirit to us.

I Corinthians 6 vs 11 tells us that it is the spirit of God that satisfy us, wash and justify us.

My former believe was that the Holy Spirit can only inhabit the heart of man only after baptism.

My believe now was that it varies in time. There are different time and situations when the Holy Spirit enters into the heart of man. For some the Holy Spirit enters even when they are inside the womb. To some during baptism and to some after baptism.

I would like to encourage us confess our sins, repent from our sins and also walk in faith so that the Holy Spirit can enter into our heart because it is the Spirit that satisfy us, washed us from our sins and also justify us.
