This beautiful flowering plant in Indonesia is known as Bunga Jengger Ayam (Cockscomb flower). Bunga Jengger Ayam has the scientific name Celosia cristata. Bunga Jengger Ayam grows upright, up to 90 cm high, usually planted in the gardens and home yards. The stems are thick and strong with single leaves that grow alternately, and are elongated in shape with a pointed tip, the flowers are grain-shaped, thick and fleshy, the top is wide like a rooster's comb.

Bunga Jengger Ayam is a hardy plant and can be grown easily from its seed. Since these plants are native to the tropics, they thrive in areas with tropical climates.
