Thoughts on XAI (XAI) Binance Launchpool
Okay, these short timed Binance Launchpools are coming pretty thick and fast at the moment! This time it is another Game-Fi project, XAI that is being built out upon Arbitrum (Ethereum) as a L3 Orbitchain. No complaints... easy money for BNB holders.
It really feels like the next hype wave will be Game-Fi... I think that we had a bit of that in the past with the Axie Infinity stuff where there was a huge hype around a single game with a token. This next wave does seem more durable, as my original complaint was that games tend not to last that long... and having a token intrinsically tied into a single game was going to be a short term thing at best.
This next wave builds out a more generalised gaming blockchain with multiple games building upon the shared infrastructure. And there are quite a few of these launching or already launched... with XAI being the next ship off the ranks (he he... that was terrible...).
So, at least XAI targets the major pain points of gaming tied into a blockchain network. The arrival of cheaper L2s/L3s plus wallet abstraction means that all the fiddly fee and network stuff is hidden away from the user. Definitely a plus! But very similar to what projects like Immutable (IMX) were already doing.
So, XAI appears as a gas token for fees, and also as esXAI for utility... Staking and governance are ticking the usual boxes, but staking esXAI for event access is new and interesting.
Again, it is interesting to mention that Binance is publicising and backing an Ethereum based project instead of a BSC based one!
Launchpool has already started, and the launchpool allocation will be about 25 percent of the launch liquidity. Not as much as the previous projects this month... but more than enough to dump into that early volatility!
Mainnet and token generation is almost ready to launch, at the same time as the Binance listing. And they do have a nice list of games that have either launched or that will launch throughout 2024. Well, at the very least... the publicity shots look decent... who knows how the actual games will play out in terms of mechanics and all of that.
Only 3 percent for the Launchpool... this does seem to have more reserved for the ongoing operation of the network... but also that there were three rounds of presales already!
However, the key thing is the token release schedule... and here, we have the launchpool forming roughly 25 percent of the liquidity in the first 5 months or so! With the "community" being the major component of the liquidity. So, that is a bit more promising... there is more time before the seed investors come to dump on us all! But it is also something to be aware of in 6 months time as the investor tokens unlock and they start to take profit!
So... I'm doing the same as for the last 3 recent launchpools... dump roughly half to get some free internet magic money... and then hold the other half as a moonbag. I'm a bit more convinced about this project in comparison to the others that had pools this month... so, I do feel like it is a good idea to hold that moonbag for the incoming bull market!

Ah well, better than nothing! You can dust it to BNB if you aren't planning to hang on to it!
