My visit to the Historical Museum of Carúpano (part I). [Eng - Esp]
Greetings fellow travelers I wish you a happy day and have a prosperous month full of great blessings, the days are moving very fast, we are already in the third month of the year; in many countries spring begins; in my country the seasons do not occur as such but the hot season begins, time that is used to the maximum to visit the beach and also coincides with the celebration of the so-called holy week; of course the beach is visited throughout the year but on this date the influx of tourists is greater.
Today I share my visit to the Historical Museum of Carúpano, capital of the Bermúdez municipality, this city stands out for its beautiful beaches and beautiful coastal landscapes. The museum is located on Santa Rosa avenue, in it are several pieces of pottery dating from pre-Columbian times and were found in several municipois of Sucre state.
Saludos amigos viajeros les deseo un feliz día y que tengan un mes próspero y lleno de grandes bendiciones, los días avanzan muy rápido, ya estamos en el tercer mes del año; en muchos países inicia la primavera; en mí país no se dan las estaciones como tal pero inicia la temporada de calor, época que se aprovecha al máximo para visitar la playa y que coincide además con la celebración de la llamada semana santa; claro que la playa se visita durante todo el año pero en esta fecha la afluencia de turistas es mayor.
Hoy comparto mi visita al Museo Histórico de Carúpano capital del municipio Bermúdez, esta ciudad destaca por sus bellas payas y hermosos paisajes costeros. el museo se ubica en la avenida santa Rosa, en el se encuentran varias piezas de cerámica que datan de la época pre colombina y fueron encontradas en varios municipois del estado Sucre.
The museum also houses some furniture and dining room sets of the German and French businessmen who controlled the production of cocoa in the area, these are original, are made of wood and are preserved in good condition, there is also a copy of the first televisions in the country and two typewriters, one of the most used office equipment until the invention of the computer.
El museo alberga también algunos muebles y juego de comedor de los empresarios Alemanes y Franceses que controlaban la producción de cacao de la zona, estos son originales, están hechos en madera y se conservan en buen estado, hay también un ejemplar e los primeros televisores del país y dos máquinas de escribir, uno de los equipos de oficina más usado hasta la invención de la computadora.
Other elements that stand out are the statue of Christopher Columbus, formerly located in the Plaza Colon of the city, as well as a pump of the time for the extraction of water, an iron plate that refers to the old railroad that operated in the area and covered the route Carúpano - El Pilar transporting cocoa crops, The cocoa of this area is characterized by its good quality and flavor, in fact it is one of the best known in the country and of great consumption in other continents.
Otros elementos que destacan son la estataua de Cristóbal Colón , anteriormente ubicada en la plaza Colón de la ciudad, así como una bomba de la época para la extracción de agua, una placa de hiero que hace referencia al antiguo ferrocaril que operaba en la zona y cubría la ruta Carúpano - El Pilar transportando las cosechas de cacao, que eran procesadas en Carúpano y posteriormente se exportaban los productos al continente europeo, el cacao de esta zona se crarcteriza por su buena calidad y sabor, de hecho es uno de los conocidos del país y de gran consumo en otros continentes.
