Frente a esta frase tan profunda y como madre me pregunto ¿De qué trata todo esto?

Pretender enseñar a nuestros hijos todo sobre la vida es para mi una pérdida de tiempo. Lo que la vida significa para mí no significa para otros; lo que la vida me ofrece a mi no es lo que ofrece a otros. El propósito que Dios tiene para cada uno de nosotros es un plan personal por ende, no vale la pena enseñar lo que cada uno piensa sobre la vida.

Ahora bien, me sorprende la siguiente frase: ... nuestros hijis nos enseñan de qué trata la vida... Y, ¿de qué trata el juego de la vida?

Faced with this profound sentence and as a mother I ask myself, what is this all about?

To pretend to teach our children everything about life is for me a waste of time. What life means to me does not mean to others; what life offers to me is not what it offers to others. God's purpose for each one of us is a personal plan; therefore, it is not worth teaching what each one of us thinks about life.

Now, I am surprised by the following sentence: ... our children teach us what life is all about.... And what is the game of life all about?

En el lenguaje de nuestros hijos no somos quienes enseñamos sino lo contrario, somos quienes debemos aprender.

Cuando los niños o los jóvenes desean asumir riesgos por ejemplo, nosotros los padres aprendemos que no podemos frenarlos en su intención..Sin embargo y en defensa de los padres, creo que pudiésemos advertir siempre y cuando se expongan a una situación de peligro porque una cosa es asumir riesgo y otra muy diferente es asumir peligros.

En estos momentos no encuentro ideas claras para exponer mi punto de vista pero creo que es así, más aún cuando noticias trágicas llega a tu vida.

In the language of our children, we are not the ones who teach, but on the contrary, we are the ones who must learn.

When children or young people want to take risks for example, we parents learn that we cannot stop them in their intention...However and in defense of parents, I believe that we could warn them if and when they expose themselves to a dangerous situation because one thing is to assume risk and quite another is to assume dangers.

At the moment I can't find clear ideas to expose my point of view but I think it's like that, even more when tragic news comes into your life.

Un joven estudiante del sexto año de bachillerato pierde la vida a manos de un funcionario quien presuntamente acciona su arma de fuego para tratar de frenarlo mientras el joven hacia piruetas con su moto. El hecho sucede en horas de la noche, en una zona popular de Caracas.

Consternada ante este suceso... un niño más pierde la vida. Estoy segura que a partir de aquí comienzan los cuestionamientos externos. ¿Dónde estaban los padres de ese adolescente? Sin duda hay y habrán muchos juicíos.

Será aquí donde los padres deberíamos asumir y justificar diciendo: "traté de aprender las lecciones de mi hijo(a)"

A young sixth year high school student loses his life at the hands of an officer who allegedly uses his firearm to try to stop him while the young man was pirouetting on his motorcycle. The incident took place at night in a popular area of Caracas.

I am shocked by this event... one more child loses his life. I am sure that from this point on, the external questioning begins. Where were the parents of this teenager? Undoubtedly there are and there will be many trials.

It will be here where parents should assume and justify saying: "I tried to learn the lessons from my son/daughter".

Obviamente, no estoy siendo sarcástica ni tampoco estoy enjuiciado a los padres del joven, sigo en mi propia catarsis tratando de dar una respuesta convincente para mí.

Aunque, creo que la confusión está en mal interpretar la idea de: "mostrar de qué trata la vida.

Papiros, mamitas, no pierdan el control de sus hijos. No son más responsables los padres de mente abierta. Hay peligros en las calles y aunque no todo lo podemos controlar, si hay cosas que podemos evitar.

Obviously, I am not being sarcastic nor am I being judgmental of the young man's parents, I am still in my own catharsis trying to come up with a convincing answer for myself.

Although, I think the confusion is in misinterpreting the idea of: "show what life is all about.

Papiros, mamitas, don't lose control of your children. Open-minded parents are no more responsible. There are dangers in the streets and although we can't control everything, there are things we can avoid.
