CineTv Contest: "Only Time" by Enya
One of my favorite songs used in a movie is "Only Time", by Enya. It was released as the lead single for her fifth studio album, "A Day Without Rain", and peaked at number one in the United States, Canada, Germany, and Austria. In the United States, it has since become one of the band's most popular singles. It was used in a movie titled "Sweet November."
Only Time is one of her most enchanting pieces. The track begins with call-and-response vocals before building into ornate pop. It's from her dark album, a career high for Enya. The song is also a perfect example of her trademark, hypnotic voice. Only Time also made an appearance in the television series Big Nate's episode "CATastrophe"
Enya's lyrics are incredibly moving and spiritual. Her music has inspired many contemporary experimental electronic musicians, and she continues to draw inspiration from nature. Her song "Only Time" is based on a Japanese haiku and is an ode to the wild violet. In between the lyrics, an ominous bass boom interrupts the track. The track's experimental tendencies are emphasized in the song's ending.
This song is a perfect complement to the journey through Middle Earth, and the singer's voice reflects this. In some ways, it sounds like a song that was written for The Lord of the Rings, and it's the perfect choice for a movie soundtrack.

When the choice of the song fits in too perfectly I too have this doubt in the back of my head that if they actually held any connection. But, life is all about coincedences.
Thank you for your entry! Intersting movie and song choice. :)
