Building Up the New Pool

( EN / DE ) After the hail two weeks ago, our old pool was unfortunately broken. The upper air ring was really shredded by the hail, but fortunately the pool still remained standing. 14000 liters of water emptied with a gush would certainly not have been so good. So after all we had very good luck!

This week, just in time for the absouten heat wave, the new pool was now delivered and we only had to set it up.

Before, of course, an inspection by our super sniffy nose, after everything was ok with the smell, we could start unpacking:

The new ladder and water pump, wich came with the pool remained packed, because we still have those from the old pool.
After unpacking, it is recommended to sort the parts and put them where they will be needed later.

The sweltering heat wasn't exactly conducive, but we still managed to assemble the linkages without too much intra-family discussion. There are no photos of this, because the family would probably have beheaded me if I had let them work and run around them with the camera ;-)

Finally it stood and we could call: Water go!

However, this takes several hours, until the next day and after that the water is ice cold. Only two days later it had warmed up and we could finally enjoy it!

Aufbau des neuen Pools

Nach dem Hagel vor zwei Wochen war ja leider auch unser alter Pool kaputt. Der obere Luftring wurde regelrecht zerfetzt vom Hagel, zum Glück blieb der Pool aber noch stehen. 14000 Liter Wasser, das sich mit einem Schwall entlehrt hätte wäre bestimmt nicht so gut gewesen. Diese Woche, rechtzeitig zur absouten Hitzewelle, wurde nun der neue Pool geliefert und wir mussten ihn nur noch aufstellen.

Zuvor natürlich eine Inspektion durch unsere Super-Spürnase, diese viel positiv aus, also konnten wir mit dem auspacken beginnen und im nächsten Schritt, die Teile schon dort hin sortieren, wo sie später benötigt werden.

Die zugehörige Leiter und Wasserpumpe blieb orignialverpackt, da wir die ja noch vom alten Pool haben. Danach empfiehlt es sich, die Teile zu sortieren und schon mal dort hin zu legen, wo sie später gebraucht werden.

Die schwüle Hitze war nicht gerade förderlich, dennoch haben wir es ohne allzu große innerfamiliäre Diskussionen geschafft, die Gestänge zu montieren. Davon gibt es keine Fotos, denn die Familie hätte mich wohl geköpft, wenn ich sie hätte arbeiten lassen und mit der Camera um sie herum laufe ;-)

Und endlich stand er und es hieß: Wasser marsch!

Das dauert allerdings etliche Stunden, bis zum nächsten Tag und danach ist das Wasser erst einmal eiskalt. Erst zwei Tage später hatte es sich erwärmt und wir konnten es endlich genießen!

Hier ein Vorher / Nachher Foto. Der neue Pool ist schmäler, dafür aber länger und vor allem ist das Wasser gut 20 cm tiefer, wodurch man jetzt richtig schöne Längen schwimmen kann. Und direkt neben dem Pool ist jetzt auch noch Platz um gemütlich zu sitzen, wo es vorher sehr eng war.
