Time to feel

With so much to do in my life it can be difficult to find time to stop and show gratitude and thanks for who and what I have. No matter how busy I may be though, making time for gratitude is of paramount importance and I believe it should be for all of us.

Gratitude, taking the time to think and feel it, helps to make sense from the things that happen in my life and brings a degree of happiness and contentment in the present moment and, because seeing the past helps me work on the future, I know that in showing and feeling gratitude each day will open up opportunities for the future.

Usually my gratitude moment is early in the morning when I first wake up. I lay there thinking about who and what I'm grateful for and why plus how those people or experiences have added positivity and enjoyment to my life or helped to make sense of the negative aspects that I've had occur; it's a nice way to start the day.

Sometimes my thoughts focus specifically on a particular event or moment and today that was one of our trips to Paris which was such a lovely time for us. Paris is easy to fall in love with and it's the sort of place two lovers can easily become lost in, immersed, and where such beautiful memories can be created.

Later on, I had a really nice afternoon of flipping through photos and remembering all the things we did on that trip, the walking, art galleries, gardens, lovely little cafes, people watching and each other's company.

Finding the time to feel gratitude provides me such clarity and happiness, thinking about those things and recalling why I'm grateful for them breathes life into them all over again in the moment and that moves forward with me into the future and no matter what life hands me it cannot take those moments away.

- This is what I'm listening to -

Gratitude is one of the most important things in life, it is telling the universe that I like what I get and I want more of it. For me it is fundamental to be grateful, it is a message full of good energy.

Beautiful song Becca, I liked it a lot!💗

You seem like someone who would feel gratitude for what you have in life

Becca... the best thing to do is to be grateful to be alive and healthy. Anytime you can go back to Paris, just visualize yourself there with joy and total enjoyment. Well... I think you are already doing that in a way. Just don't look back with a feeling of lack.

That song is sad.

(Enjoy the day with your loved ones)

Lack is not something that applies to my life really, I've lost of course as we all have, but it's full and wonderful.

When I talk about lack, I am not talking about material things, but about the lack of that trip you long for.

There’s no feeling of lack, more a feeling of being filled to the brim with the amazing experiences we’ve had, gratitude that we had them and that I have the memories to enjoy whenever I choose.

That's great!

Just don't look back with a feeling of lack.

Just to clarify... what I said was a general advice. Many times we think about the past and cling to it with a feeling of needing it, lacking it, when we can have it now, if we want it. Well... some things you can't have right now, but you can work to have them. And others are just gone. They left an apprenticeship.

I never said you had that lack.

Well... I wish you a great day.

I think it is wonderful that you remember to be grateful. A lot of people, myself included, can forget to do so and can even take a lot of the good things for granted. Being grateful can remind us to appreciate even the little things.

Gratitude is a valuable personality trait as it allows each of us to feel good about what we have and do and I think that's good for a person's attitude and general feeling of wellbeing.
