A different bullet
Sometimes a girl just needs a bullet to make her feel good, feminine and ready for action.
I needed one last week, and ended up with three, it just seemed like good value and I knew I'd use them all, but not at the same time; I'd put them to my lips, which one would depend on my mood and, because I've done it before, knew just how I'd feel...I wanted to feel that way so made the purchase.
It's not the sort of bullet that requires a gun, in truth it's not a bullet at all but it sort of looks like one; hmm, not really although the shape is a little similar. It's lipstick, and when I was out last week I came across one of those too good to be true bargains and I simply could not resist.
I don't use a lot of makeup usually but I like to enhance my natural features with a little and I also like to feel and look feminine. At times I wear a little more, a special event or occasion, but I prefer to use it sparingly and only to enhance and accentuate my natural looks.
There's so many products on the market and the basics can be a long list of things like face primer, foundation, concealer, blush, bronzer, eyebrow gel, mascara, eye liner, setting spray, lip liner, lipstick and more; it's not a short list. I like to keep it simple though. Most of the time a little blusher, eye liner, mascara and lipstick is all I need and sometimes even less.
It's incredible how much women spend on makeup and beauty products they feel they need, or are led to believe they need by marketing, and I really don't think we need to.
Less is more they say, and I don't believe women should be made to feel less beautiful if they don't use those products or buy the most expensive ones. The glossy magazines mislead women into thinking it defines their beauty and cosmetics are an essential element but I believe true beauty comes from within no matter what a woman might look like externally and I hate that the marketers make women feel inadequate to push their sales revenue.
I love my bullets, I mean lipsticks, and the small cost of the three of them will repay me over and again and the best thing...that's when my guy comes home and i get to smudge my lipstick on his lips!

I have seen many women making excess of these beauty products and ends up being a jokes for us...though they behave differently like a beauty queen but in reality they make fun of themselves. .....I trully belive in simplicity...a little bit of touching is good. Especially to the lips, which enhances the look
We live in a superficial world where people judge others on appearance rather than who they are inside. Maybe it's always been this way however the marketers play on it and cause women to feel terrible about themselves and that often inspires spending; it's reprehensible.

We are very similar, I wear very little make-up, I believe that natural beauty is much more beautiful and I think that men also believe that. Of course, for an event or a meeting you wear a bit more make-up.
I use lip gloss, mascara, eyeliner, lipstick and little else, concealer when necessary.
Just enhance what you have, and yes, beauty comes from within.

Today's marketing can be powerful and does a good job at convincing people they need stuff they really don't. I don't understand it, because most all the marketing stuff turns me off to products most times anymore. Hope you havea great weekend.
It's quite terrible how the marketing preys on men women and children triggering them to buy. People can make the choice not to spend of course however many these days don't seem to have the discipline. I don't fall for it, my guy and I are very disciplined people and have a plan we work around mostly. We spend of course, but it's on our own terms and not at the detriment to other aspects of our lives.

For the longest time of my life I was right there with you, little bit here and there but nothing over the top. Now, since maybe six years or so I've been going 'nude'. I've tried a little bit the other day but I just can't get used to it anymore, doesn't feel like me. I was and am also super overwhelmed by all the different products the industry came up with, it's crazy. Good for you that you found your 'bullets' 😆 on sale.
I see women these days caked in makeup, lip and face filler, fake eyebrows and such things and feel very thankful that I feel no need to do any of it other than some light feature enhancing makeup and some days, like you, none at all.
