Patai Fried Rice for Dinner
As a boarding house resident who lives alone, choosing food is one of the most confusing things every day. I had to think about what to eat today. Not only eating today, I also have to think about what to eat for tomorrow. It's annoying when I'm always confused about what to eat.
As a person who rarely leaves the house, I usually only buy one complete package of rice (rice and side dishes) and one side dish during the day. When night falls, I usually never go out again to look for food. I've bought side dishes at once when I buy rice at noon. At night I usually only need to cook rice to eat. It's so sad to have to do it every day. Lol.
When I don't have an appetite, I usually only buy wrapped rice without buying additional side dishes. Like today, I plan not to buy a side dish for dinner because I will eat something else.
Tonight I ordered Patai fried rice on the Gojek application. Not the first time I ordered fried rice at this restaurant. But because I wanted to eat fried rice, I finally ordered a portion of fried rice for IDR 16000 or around $1,11. However, due to delivery, the additional fee is around IDR 9000 or $0,63. One of the reasons I don't often buy food using the app. The fee is quite expensive. But yes, you only have to wait, and you will receive your food. Less than fifteen minutes, finally my order arrived still warm.
Do you like Patai? Or have you ever tasted Patai fruit? Bitter fruit with a pungent smell but very popular with many people. Patai is usually enjoyed as fresh vegetables or as a side dish. In the Patai fried rice that I ordered, there were not only Patai, but also crackers, eggs, cucumber, and one slice of tomato.
There is no doubt about the taste. The restaurant rating is quite good. The taste of the fried rice is just right. Not too spicy and not bland or salty either. The Patai is not so bitter but still has a distinctive smell.
No need to worry about not being full. The portion is also quite a lot. One thing I like about this restaurant is the type of rice used. I often buy fried rice elsewhere with the texture of the rice being a bit mushy. And sometimes, it can spoil the taste buds.
