Fungi Lovers: Orange Among The Green Grass

Hi everyone, happy weekend. I hope you are all well. This morning while looking for cassava in the garden. I found a shoot that appeared among the green grass. The striking orange color makes this mushroom easily visible among the green grass.

This is a fungus Hygrocybe Conicoides that has not yet bloomed. The hat looks very bright because last night it was pouring rain. This fungus generally grows in areas around short grass with a red or orange hat. It will look like a witch's hat when it blooms. With age, the cap will turn black like most other mushrooms.
