Hi @barbara-orenya. I am happy to know that my post was one of your favorites. But alas, unlike last week, none of the favorites made it in the lucky draw this time 😩 But there's still one more draw to go for and at least I have another week to look forward to before we take a break for recharging.

I know hosting a weekly contest can be very disappointing especially when there are not much participants who join. I understand the lost of inspiration for you with the very low turnout of entries. That is why I always make sure I have an entry even if I have to twist my daughters' arms for them to give me either photos or artwork of the week's theme 😂😂 It's because I support you a hundred percent and I want your contest to succeed. Unfortunately, not too many share my conviction. But for whatever it is worth, I found so much inspiration from your Challenge and sometimes it is the only one and that of Melinda's Shadow Hunt that keeps me going in Hive. And I thank you for that from the bottom of my heart ❤️🥰

Aww.. that's nice of you to say, and I appreciate your participation very much and the support that it means @gems.and.cookies ;-)
I have to precise though, that I'm not disappointed by the lack of participation, I even wonder if this lower participation does not come from my lack of investment in the contest, I mean, I could be more involved and I'm sure the challenge would have more participants...
the simple minimum actions require a lot of energy (reading each posts,upvoting with the 3 accounts (mine, Luigi and Feel Good), sending the ecency points to those who use the app, making the contests posts and the drawings and photos associated, doing the Lucky Draw, sending all the prizes ...) but I have no more energy for commenting and encouraging everybody, and that is the sign for me also that I have to take a break..😉
and particularly if I want to go on with a role in Feathered Friends community, I can't do everything right now so I have to give up on something to give me time for myself.
A few years ago, I was on the blockchain almost 80 % of my time because my day work was just a half time a day and it was on evening, but since one year and half, I work a full time job because my savings were no longer sufficient to afford it...but don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining, it's a choice I make because I want to spare enough money to buy me a house before being too old to obtain a bank loan...LoL...

I see your point and it does make sense. Perhaps I was looking at it from a different perspective. I did not realize the pressures of hosting the challenge was bearing on you with your job and you trying to save money for a new house. I think then that the break was really called for and the best decision you could have made. It's just that I could not understand the reason behind the low turnout of the challenge and I really felt kind of disappointed with it. But your explanation did enlighten me with the responsibilities and commitment needed to run a successful contest. Makes me understand now why Melinda seeks help from other Hivers to run the community and her contests. It's really hard work that most of the time goes unnoticed and unappreciated.

As such, may I wish you the best in everything moving forward and I can only hope for the day you get the inspiration back to start this wonderful challenge again. 🥰
