The Beginning: Typing With Typetest.
Before the presence of modern use of writing, known as typing, hands were the maker of everything and still is after the invention of modern equipment to help ease the work.
I love writing. Before I started typing on my device, I was more content writing them out. My pen and book were my besties, and I know they cherish me as I do them. And it was the same thing I did when I joined the Web 3 world. Though I started using my phone at a younger age and once had a laptop, I never stopped writing with my pen. It was addicting. The smell of books does miracles to the senses.
However, looking back, I must confess that things have changed. I don't know how or even when it happened. I can't remember the last time I picked up a pen to write on a book, and just after saying this, I am craving to put my hands on a pen again.
But then, after seeing a community where I can showcase and also improve my typing skills, I decided to give it a go. I once read @olujay post via dreemport and ever since then, I have had it in mind to try improving my typing skills so today, I took the bull by it horn and used one of the link he shared typingtest to start my typing journey in the community.
When I clicked on the link embedded in his post, I was directed here, and from there, I began.
I chose the option to take the typing test for a minute, and below it is the medium text to go. After clicking on it, I was directed here, where I took my first baby step towards typing. This does remind me of Mavis Beacon. Not having a laptop again is making me teary right now. Well, in a good way.
This is my first time using the typetest, and I am already liking it. The story line given is very inviting that I found myself reading along while I typed, and well, there was a timer for 1 minute at the top right corner and then the time elapsed, which brought a stop to the interesting piece I was reading. It was quite painful, though.
It was a story about a man who was falsely imprisoned for 10 years and how he studied law to prove his innocence, which he won, and then, he became a lawyer later to help others too. It is an interesting storyline, and I would have loved to get the ending part and also the middle of cos.
After the test, my typing speed, accuracy, and net speed were put on display, and I know I can do better.
So, I decided to go for the easy typing test, which gave me another amazing story of soldiers and chocolates. It is another interesting piece which I liked even more.
After the given selected time elapsed, I was given the result.
Just the few minutes I spent typing was special. It was like it had been eagerly waiting for my return, which makes me believe this is a start to something beautiful, and I know I can improve more. So, I'll add this on my list to practice and also share the improvements made.
I saw that there were some other juicy options apart from typing, and I will sure give them a try too. One, step at a tab, and I'll get there.
Other images shared are screenshots from my phone.
Still yours truly,
Balikis.
Thanks for reading.
Peace be unto those who crave it and more to those who chase it away.
Balikis the typist 🤗, this is an amazing start. Your speed isn't bad at all from your test results. Back then, it was Mavis beacon I used to learn typing and I was super fast with typing then. It's still in me but not like before. I will try with this link in your post to see how much I will mess up , haha 😂

I'll see you around with your post someday, then.
Haha, see you making my head swell. Makes me want to change my name to that, lol. Well, I know I can improve, and I should probably stop reading as I type. Well, it'll be hard. Lol.
Yeah, that's right. Mavis, thanks for the correction it works well. I enjoyed using it on my Pc then.
Lol, a beautiful mess up, I know. That's how PG talks. I hail.

So there's a beautiful Mess up?

Trust me, it is indeed a start of something beautiful. I laughed knowing you read that story of the falsely imprisoned man, because I actually love that part of these typing sites; they provide interesting info.
For a second, I thought you were on PC, but knowing it was mobile I was surprised to see that much speed. You sure are fast. I'm eager to see your PC moves in the future. Welcome to the Touch Typing community. Now we're encouraging one another!
By the way, I know you use InLeo sometimes. Maybe consider it a little more if you'd like to, so you can stand curation chances and more from the UI.
Haha... yeah! Reading while typing is fun, though I suppose it reduces my typing speed or not. Lol. The stories are too good not to read.
Thanks for the warm-hearted compliment. I appreciate it. Yes, I am eager to try with Pc in the future, too.
Yeah, I do, and I tried to use their UI twice this week, and it was messed up. I couldn't log in, so I let it be. I'll try again next time. Thank you.
The stories can be distracting indeed 😅
Enjoy them!
Oh, yeah. The log in...
Tried Hive Keychain extension on Kiwi Browser for Android before?
I sure will, and I hope it won't be an addiction. Lol.
No, I make use of Hivesigner. I'll try Keychain then, and you'll surely see my feedback when it works.
If you want a guide, you can use this:

Oh, thank you. I'll check it out
I’m sure the stories you’re reading will motivate you more to typing, because who doesn’t love to read amazing stories. I once installed typing test on my laptop but I stopped because it was getting tiring and boring.
But it a great way to master typing, since you love it, am sure you’ll become a typing master. Keep up the good work.
Haha... that's right, who doesn't because I do. Hehe.
Wow, well, there are other typing url you can check out in the community if you are interested.
Thanks for the thumbs up.
