Echo Tamer Sale on Muterra

I'm happy to share that the Echo Tamer sale on Muterra went well. There are still some more Echo in the market up for grabs. I thought I would write a post and share some stats and details about this tamer and how the sale went overall. It was also a good opportunity to interact with many people answering their questions and helping them during the sale. There were some common questions raised. I would like to answer a few questions before I talk about this sale. I know people can find answers from other articles on the Muterra server too. But still wanted to answer a few of the common questions in this post.

What is Tamer?

Tamer is the player with which you would be playing the game. Based on the lore there are different types of tamers each with different abilities. If you had played Diablo 2, you can say a Tamer is Paladin or Barbarian with which we play the game. If you want to compare it with Splinterlands, you can say that Tamers are similar to Summoners in Splinterlands.

What is Tamer Activation?

In order to take your tamer inside the game and play with the tamer, you have to activate the Tamer. A Tamer License is required to activate the tamer. This is similar to buying a spell book on splinterlands and unlocking the game. Here in Muterra, you have to purchase one License for each Tamer. This will let you experience the game with multiple Tamers.

Do we get something for just holding a Tamer License and Tamers?

Based on the rarity of the tamers, there is an airdrop available. You can refer to the airdrop and staking rewards post to get more details on the same. Echo is the tamer that was sold in today's sale. This is a limited edition Tamer that was listed for different community members to purchase with their community tokens. Now the Tamer License also gets an airdrop of 0.05 MUT per day for just holding the License.

Tamer Sale

Today was a very hectic day and we had to do a lot of things for the Tamer Sale. Mostly the coding work was all complete. Just some minor fixes before the sale and during the sale. Maybe we should have selected a different date because today was also the season-end date on Splinterlands and HE nodes also had some issues today morning. Thankfully it was all good. The only issues that people faced were issues from Keychain and our website that people faced because of concurrency. I bought 20 tamers for myself. I used LGN tokens and IUC tokens for this. I thought I should buy it with WOO tokens but I couldn't because it was sold off in a few minutes or even seconds.

WOO token was the most discounted token in today's sale. They listed their cards for less than 1$. As it is very early, they did not want to burn a lot of tokens. But that benefitted some people. That was the first token to get sold out. After that was sold out LGN was sold out and then POSH. There was also a great response from the Indiaunited community members as well. At the time of writing this article, only 7 cards are left with IUC tokens. I'm sure that will also get sold out soon.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who participated in this sale and bought their cards. Thanks to all the partners and friends for joining hands with us. It was a good promotion for both their project as well as Muterra. For those who would like to purchase some Echo, there are still some available. You could buy the respective tokens from the market and purchase them from the Muterra website.

Feedback and improvements

We got a lot of feedback about the user experience on the website. We have made a note of that and would be working on refactoring the entire website code. We had so many items on our plates and had to work on multiple things. Even though the artwork for the website was amazing, I also personally felt that the navigation and user experience could have been better. I did not spend enough time with the front-end developers. It was taken care of by someone else. Hopefully, in the coming months, things should get better. Our focus is more on the Unity side where the actual game resides. The website is just an interface for us to do sales and stuff. Reach out to us on Discord for any constructive feedback about Muterra. We are all ears.

I also understand that many users missed the opportunity to purchase cards with their desired tokens because it was already sold out. I'm sure there would be opportunities in the future and there can even be listings in the market from other players where people can purchase their desired NFTs.
