That's irrelevant, who gives a fuck how many different species exist? Why is that important, impressive or otherwise implicating us. It doesn't, nature is us and we are nature and if nature says that its us or the rest then I'm not bothered at all by what nature has made and wired either way. Until then, so what, it's largely irrelevant how many and what is out there. There are infinitely more interesting things and actionable things that Woe poor nature is failing at keeping up with superior nature..

I think that it's irrelevant myself. Just like you. I'm supremely unimpressed whether or not the snail darter or the spotted owl survives or dies. I imagine the majority of people don't care either. If they did why do they live in cites, about as far from 'nature' as it's possible to be?
Look if you're ridiculing People as unnatural, or their dwellings as unnatural, or their Society, as unnatural then I implore you to define exactly what is unnatural and how and why, because to me, it's a matter of undisputed fact that there is no one thing, that is more unnatural, not one quality, not any attribute, than to exclude nature from nature as it all encompasses.
You talking to me?
Well HELL YEAH (some) people are unnatural. Go to Los Angles, San Francisco, Seattle, New York and lookit some of the fine specimens with piercings, tattoos, weird colored hair and other stuff and tell me that's natural.
HOWEVER. I think natural is over rated. I'm all for genetic engineering and TransHumanism.
I still think the above mentioned freaks in those cities are pathetic..but hey...it's their life and they can be as ludicrous as they want to be.
Go to almost any tribe and tell me that's not natural. Heck, what's more natural than circumcision in America?
That's great, I'm sure they're looking for volunteers to try things out, mind you there's gonna be unintended consequences and unmitigated factors, as you'd naturally expect.
I'm sure they have a similar opinion of you.
I have no doubt. I'll try not to let it get me down.
