Shopping for some ingredients for my weekend stew
Good evening I welcome each and every one to this beautiful and wonderful weekend and a lovely Friday which is the mean day for us in this community called market Friday
A community where you share your shopping experience with others
And today I will also share my experience from the Friday shopping, shopping for some ingredients for my Sunday stew
I decided not to go to a distance place for shopping due to the fact that what am shopping for is not much and also the cost of transportation is something else, and it is something I can get within the area , since the new elected president of my country came in power this has been too hard especially the transport fere due to the fuel subsidy removal, this days I find it very difficult to go out when am not purchasing much things
Hence what am buying is not much so I decided to buy it within as these case
So I went to a nearby shop to get my tomatoes, bell peppers, sweet peppers together with some ingredients for my stew , though I bought few ingredients cause I have some of them at home
I bought all these at reasonable price
I have to agree! It really makes no sense to go the distance when it will cost you the same or even more to go there. You didn't mention the difference in price but I am sure you figured it out. I was actually interested in seeing if you would save time/money or perhaps both.
Either way, it's a win giving you more time.
I hope your stew came out well! What was the name of the stew that you were making? I am always interested in the cultural side of shopping too. :)
#MarketFriday began as a way to reach out across the globe and learn about different cultures through their markets, especially local markets and farmers' markets, and eventually branched out and evolved over time from straight shopping to a cultural affair as it highlights how we differ and then again, how much we are alike. We have become a melting pot of culture, but it is still the Rituals, Festivals, food, architecture, and even your language/languages that separate us... Along with the fact that these things are normal for us. There are unwritten rules that rule our social behaviors. I see this as allowing for increased tolerance between cultures and nations, and opportunities to come together on an even playing ground. A strong culture can be beneficial to a country as it promotes unity, especially during a crisis, peaceful debate, and open dialogue. I have learned so much about all of you and it has been an amazing experience. I can only hope that learning about each other can help us work together for a peaceful world.
Thank you for being a part of #MarketFriday
