My first time joining the Wednesday walk challenge
HELLO HIVE
This is my first time joining the Wednesday walk .Actually am still new on hive and trying to find my way around the different communities on hive .
It was a very beautiful day , waking up to see another beautiful Wednesday.
After doing my house chores and I had nothing doing so I decided to take a little walk around my neighborhood and vicinity not too far from my house.
It was refreshing walking towards this small river about 15 minutes away from my house. The river is called oyun river.
A shallow flowing water during the dry season that can get filled up to a large capacity in the raining season.
A very old overhead bridge is build upon the water for people to walk upon and even cars have used this for movement between towns and villages , it's a useful bridge Because without it we will be cut off from town.
on the way I came across some churches the first one is the Bethlehem Baptist church its small building painted yellow and brown color very close to it was an uncompleted building I was told that the building was there for more than seven years even the people leaving close to the area said they don't know the owner of the building because it was an uncompleted project.
After leaving that building I came across the next building to it which is the Catholic monastery .It is met for the Reverend sisters that reside there they also have a special time in a day that they pray, like the twelve o'clock prayer that they called Angelus and at three o'clock prayers they call it the divine mercy prayer. I also came across a little farm where they plant maize and sweet potatoes, the maize is almost ready for harvesting in few weeks time and the potatoes are already due for harvest. Even though the potatoes is already mature enough to harvest the step can still be cut and plant in another place. I finally got to my destination which is the river down the street , we called the river OYUN-RIVER. The river is dividend into two part with a walkway in-between the two rivers and the other one at the side has a bridge that vehicles can pass over it, the river area is surrounded with green grasses, even though the river look dirty during the raining season and it's not good for consumption yet people farm beside the river bed
and it serves as a source of irrigation during the dry season.
