When gestures speak...

20231029_165652.jpg

Gestural language often says more than words, like people's actions I think they speak much more than certain words and they don't deceive.

A word can be said just like that, or out of commitment, or not even be real. But gestures are often involuntary and they denote much more. So do actions.

They are reflected on people's faces, on their hands, on their whole body and they speak.

The expressions that are generated on a face often make it possible to really see the person far beyond what they say. Gestures... marks on the face.

Many express happiness, others sadness, sorrow, pain, suffering, joy, hope?

Too many emotions can be seen in a face and also in the hands. Because they also speak.

When a person moves their hands a lot when they speak, it is because they have more to say than they can say with words, and this is reflected in their hands.

Hands that express feelings, hands that make and unmake, hands....

Many artists tried to capture and reproduce all these expressions in paintings and sculptures.

These in particular were in the Thyssen Museum in Malaga and today is a day when a lot can be expressed.

One can identify with these faces and other people can be moved by them. The truth is that the reproduction and details of the sculptures are astonishing.

The gaze speaks volumes, .... The hands also and the lines of the face are conclusive.

I see in these sculptures, which the artists have been able to capture so well, sorrow, pain, resignation, surrender, request, hope, prayer and much more.

Beyond the special date that is represented today and beyond religions, art is art and that is what I see in these works so well done and with so much expression in the faces, hands and body in general.

Feelings, emotions, movement and more in wonderful works of art.

I am fascinated by the sculptures and admire their details, which say a lot about the period in which they were made, but they also have the artist's energy imprinted on them. Each work is energy, they are themselves in a special moment.

Thank you all for watching and reading this far, I wish you all a nice day and see you next time.
Amonet.

When a person moves their hands a lot when they speak, it is because they have more to say than they can say with words, and this is reflected in their hands.

That's me, I gesticulate my hands a lot when I talk, it's more what I move them than what I say haha uff yeah I've been criticized for that 😂

Sometimes a look, a gesture, an expression says more than a thousand words.

It's not to criticise... it's to listen, there's more inside what he says, just that... you get to know someone more by looking than by listening.😘

Thank you for these photographs, it is clear that they say a lot about the artist who took them, both about his human side, about what he wanted to convey, and about his technique, which is a prodigy of skill. Best regards @avdesing

It was impossible for me to take pictures of something from the Holy Week, I didn't even see it, but I was going to do something for the day. And also artistic. Thanks @enraizar

You have done what you could and, in addition, you have given us a great Holy Week with these figures and baroque paintings. A Holy Week without processions but with a lot of feeling.
A hug @avdesing

How are you dear friend @avdesing good afternoon
It is proven that 65% of communications are non-verbal, and it is due to the things you mention, such as gestures, looks, eyes, these are things that one cannot handle and there are involuntary movements that indicate something different than what we say with words
I love the photographs you have taken of these beautiful sculptures
I hope you had a beautiful Easter Sunday surrounded by your loved ones.

Gestures and actions sometimes speak louder than words... and it is good to pay attention. Thank you very much @jlufer

Excellent discussion of what makes these art pieces so evocative. Artists in the past went to great lengths to portray inner states of consciousness through outward gestures, as you suggest. Great discussion.

Artists have the ability to capture all these expressions on canvas or in their sculptures. They capture even the smallest detail and transmit to us as you say pain, joy, fear, amazement and many more. Nice gallery you visited. Thank you for sharing. I liked it very much.😘🤗
