The magic of street lamps.
It wouldn't be the same without them, the world on one side of the planet would be in darkness if they didn't exist.
They appear on the road like static fairies who watch us pass by on our evening strolls and when most people are asleep.
They illuminate our steps and create wonderful reflections on the shimmering, finely polished ground.
They are lined up pointing a way forward, but I like to stray and look at their different perspectives, what they want to illuminate, who they want to help or perhaps what signal they want to give.
Looking at the sky, so dark, so black, they allow me to see certain glimmers in the immensity of the night.
Some of them are decorated with flowers, whose colour stands out from the rest of the environment and creates a unique composition.
The distance between them creates, both between the buildings and on the ground, places of light and places of shadow, that contrast of light and shadow that creates the relief, the life, the 3D, what emerges. That amazes me, to see both those shining places and those dark places with a hidden and well-kept mystery.
The light allows people to walk safely, seeing where they are going, but also being able to admire the beautiful surroundings.
From time to time the lampposts are accompanied by another type of lighting and they talk to each other, they talk about us humans. They look at us, listen to us and accompany us in our night walk... taking care of us.
The shadows remain on the windows leaving the necessary space for those who rest, but knowing that outside there will be the light that will be there for them when they wake up.
The seats are empty, waiting for the day that will come later, when the street lamps go to sleep.
A nocturnal butterfly spies me behind a lamppost, shy it seems, because no one has seen it until my eyes discovered it, thanks to the light.
Sculptures glow in the night and can come to life, know where they are going and then return to their place thanks to that light. The light that is necessary to see the path, the real path.
I took these pictures on a night walk I did on Marqués de Larios street, the most important street in the city.
A walk there at night is really magical, there is a lot of peace in the air, but above all mystery and beauty.
During the day this street is full, absolutely full of hustle and bustle, which makes it practically impassable, you can't walk because there are so many people there.
But at night, it seems to be the same street, but on another planet, it is a pleasure to walk along it and you see things very differently, as when you change your focus.
Life is made up of light and shadow and even in the darkest night, if you look hard enough, you can find the light and magic of ..... The streetlights.
Thank you all very much for watching and reading this far, best regards to all of you and see you next time.

Thank you very much!✨
What a beauty please, that photo of the lamp with the wings of the butterfly in the back uff splendid, very good angle, it seems that the lighthouse has wings ❤️
How magical it looks with those lights, it looks like another plane ✨

Nice walk and very good text, usually we tend to recognize the good things when we lack them, I like how you appreciate the light when it is present. A hug
I've always loved street lamps and when I came here I was dazzled, thank you @enraizar ✨

I discover through your words beautiful metaphors. Your discourse about what you feel walking at night and the relationship you establish with the street lamps (light in the dark) tells me about your state of mind and that you are in a process of assimilation of events that have marked you.
Yes, the night is beautiful, the darkness is beautiful too, even if sometimes we think the opposite. There is the blackest night within us and we can also ignite it with a spark of creativity. Be strong and accept both light and shadow.
You also have a wise eye... you know how to see beyond the words, you said it all!!!! Thank you beautiful!❤️
What a beautiful city, even at night it has a very special magic. Beautiful photographs dear friend @avdesing
I always wanted to illuminate my garden with many of them, but they are so expensive.
I appreciate you letting us know these beautiful shots.
Have a lovely afternoon
I always love them, whether in the city or in gardens, they look beautiful. Thank you very much @jlufer 😃
Armenia has some of the most beautiful ones I have ever seen. Such a warm tone of light that isn't too bright, and the rows of them stand tall next to more rows of trees, so there's that mixture of warm light and nature still. The ones in England are now soulless bright LED ones that are just horrible to look at both in tone and appearance. It's insane how backwards it is in comparison. Street design needs beauty and attention to the surroundings, gotta go hand-in-hand.
I totally agree with all your comments but especially the final part, there must be harmony in the whole environment and in many cities in pursuit of modernity this is not respected or is not taken into account. Thank you very much for this very good comment @namiks ✨
Great captures! Beautiful.
What a clean street!
Thank you very much!!❤️
it is true that the night and its silence brings peace and mystery hand in hand, your photographs are splendid.
Thank you very much Mónica!!❤️

Absolutely beautiful. These photos remind me of my time living in Germany, where the streets were clean, quite unlike the streets here in the US. ;)
I am also so surprised by the cleanliness of the streets.... since I have been living here. It is different where I used to live in Argentina. Thank you very much!😃
Beautiful lamps. I like the old design that makes the street look very romantic.
That's another detail, the streets are super romantic and I love that!
