Proceso en imágenes - Process in pictures

Una inocente mujer, cuya pasión es el baile, descubre una nueva academia de ballet, cuyas clases eran impartidas en una casa enorme, muy antigua en las afueras de la ciudad, donde lo único que la rodeaba eran los árboles y los murmullos del viento.

Los pisos de la casona crujían por su antigüedad, aunque estaba recientemente reparada en su mayoría. Aún así tenía en sus muros un olor raro a azufre.

Todos en la academia eran muy agradables, sobre todo las profesoras y la directora del lugar, las cuales en su trato se llevaban como hermanas.

Muchas veces había ruidos extraños pero la joven se lo atribuía a la antigüedad de la casa.

Hasta que un día comienzan a ocurrir cosas extrañas en la misma, sonidos fuera de lo habitual y una supuesta clase en horarios no acostumbrados, con el pretexto de practicar para un evento.

Ese día durante el baile, la joven se siente atraída por una habitación que tenía muchos espejos, y al adentrarse, al final del cuarto, descubre una escalera.

Lo que vio luego de seguir la escalera se tiño de rojo, miedo y ganas de huir de ese lugar, pero ya no pudo hacerlo, ni ese día ni ningún otro.

Ahora es parte del olor a azufre en las paredes de la vieja casa y los ritos oscuros que allí se celebran se llevan cada día a una nueva joven.

Proceso del diseño

El diseño consta de 26 capas y 8 imágenes.

Para comenzar el diseño cree una capa de color negro, sobre la cual coloqué la imagen de la casa antigua. La dispuse en tres capas con fusiones luminosidad, multiplicar y luz suave.
Sobre lo anterior coloque otra capa en negro con fusión de luz suave para oscurecer más el ambiente.

Luego puse la imagen de la bailarina en 4 capas, 3 con fusión de aclarar y una con sobreexponer color, resaltando una de las bailarinas y creando un efecto de movimiento.

Posteriormente coloqué la imagen de los espejos, dispuesta en tres capas con fusiones luminosidad, restar y sobreexponer color. De esa manera los espejos parecen teñidos de sangre al colorearse de rojo.

Sobre los espejos coloqué el pentagrama con fusión de luminosidad y en el centro la imagen de la mujer subiendo las escaleras en dos capas con fusiones luz focal y luz fuerte.

Luego dispuse la imagen de la bruja y el demonio en tres capas con fusiones diferencia y aclarar, lo cual se entremezcla con lo anterior y genera colores variados y de suspenso.

Sobre la imagen anterior y entremezclándolas coloqué en un lado del diseño la imagen del demonio o monstruo en tres capas con fusiones luz focal, sobreexposición lineal y luz fuerte. De esa manera realcé el color.

En el otro lado del diseño puse la imagen de la mujer pelirroja, la protagonista de la historia, con fusiones luz fuerte, aclarar y normal. En las dos últimas solo puse parte de su rostro para que se vea la luz del mismo.

Finalmente volví a poner una bailarina en dos capas, sobre el demonio con fusiones aclarar y sobreexponer color.

La animación la desarrollé totalmente en After Effects, usando efectos de luces y variando las imágenes en su opacidad, haciendo que aparezcan suavemente las capas y se vayan alternando.

Coloque un video de humo con fusión de diferencia para generar movimientos de niebla en diferentes colores.

An innocent woman, whose passion is dancing, discovers a new ballet academy, whose classes were held in a huge, very old house on the outskirts of the city, where the only thing that surrounded her were the trees and the murmur of the wind.

The floors of the house creaked with age, though it had been recently repaired for the most part. Still, there was a strange smell of sulphur in the walls.

Everyone at the academy was very nice, especially the teachers and the headmistress, who were like sisters to each other.

There were often strange noises, but the young girl attributed this to the age of the house.

Until one day strange things began to happen in the house, sounds out of the ordinary and a supposed class at unaccustomed times, under the pretext of practising for an event.

That day during the dance, the young girl is attracted to a room with many mirrors, and when she goes inside, at the end of the room, she discovers a staircase.

What she saw after following the staircase was tinged with red, fear and the desire to run away from that place, but she could not do it, neither that day nor any other.

It is now part of the smell of sulphur on the walls of the old house and the dark rites that take place there take away a new young woman every day.

Design process

The design consists of 26 layers and 8 images.

To start the design I created a black layer, on top of which I placed the image of the old house. I arranged it in three layers with merges luminosity, multiply and soft light.
On top of that I placed another layer in black with soft light fusion to darken the environment more.

Then I placed the image of the dancer in 4 layers, 3 with lighten fusion and one with overexpose colour, highlighting one of the dancers and creating an effect of movement.

Then I placed the image of the mirrors, arranged in three layers with lighten, subtract and overexpose colour blends. In this way the mirrors appear to be tinged with blood as they are coloured red.

On top of the mirrors I placed the pentagram with luminosity fusion and in the centre the image of the woman climbing the stairs in two layers with focal light and strong light fusions.

Then I arranged the image of the witch and the demon in three layers with difference and lightening fusions, which intermingles with the previous and generates varied and suspenseful colours.

On top of the previous image and intermingling them I placed on one side of the design the image of the demon or monster in three layers with fusions focal light, linear overexposure and strong light. In this way I enhanced the colour.

On the other side of the design I placed the image of the red-haired woman, the main character of the story, with strong, bright and normal light fusions. In the last two I only put part of her face so that the light can be seen.

Finally I put again a dancer in two layers, over the demon with lighten and overexpose colour fusions.

The animation was developed entirely in After Effects, using light effects and varying the opacity of the images, making the layers appear smoothly and alternating them.

Place a smoke video with difference fusion to generate fog movements in different colours.
