Natural paradise mixed with antiquity in the heights.
Often the most marvellous places are hidden from the naked eye of the passer-by.
It is often good to climb a ladder hidden among the trees to find beauty.
My walk today starts by climbing a slope that leads to what is called La Coracha, a steep climb that culminates at the entrance to the Gibralfaro Castle. But today I will not go to the castle but to walk with you along the hillside next to it.
After a short steep walk I came across a wonderful path, where on one side I could see trees, plants, bushes and flowers, and on the other side different views of the city.
The pine trees around me offered great scenery and plenty of oxygen, I breathed deeply.
As I climbed higher and higher these views changed astonishingly.
But on the way up I met some very nice friends. Anyone who knows me knows that I love cats and seeing so many of them there I couldn't help but take pictures of them. But they were not standing still. They are always moving.
Some would greet me and others would say who is this person... she is not the one who brings us food.
There are people who feed these kittens all the time, every day, I've seen it.
As I went along I looked this way and that way, more and more flowers, palm trees, bushes and some kittens hiding there.
They are quiet in that place, nobody bothers them.
I could see through the thicket of nature and from time to time, the castle walls peeking out to greet me. A real marvel, I love castles.
I looked up at the sky and saw palm trees and trees contrasting with the blue and I said to myself, this is perfect.
In the middle of that path I could see a stone staircase, leading somewhere. I like to investigate to see what's there, I love mystery.
So I climbed that staircase and another and another, in the midst of a lot of natural beauty.
As I passed, the greenery, the shapes and the colours in the sun's rays never ceased to amaze me. Everywhere I looked the landscape was different, and all beautiful.
The stairs took me to a beautiful place, there were benches, flowers, beautiful flowers of many colours and I felt the warmth of the sun.
When I got there I could see more stairs, each one leading to a different place, like viewpoints at different heights, always surrounded by nature and antiquity, by those rocks that speak of the castle's past.
I said to myself another staircase, where will it take me?
To another hidden beauty, I said, maybe nobody sees me here. I breathed peace and tranquillity.
A mixture of stairs, rocks, lampposts and flowers made every place magical. I felt I was the Queen of the Castle walking in her gardens. I want to convey that idea to you.
Being able to walk along its paths, smell its flowers, appreciate the colour and the rays of the sun intermingling like fingers in the hair of a princess.
Each little staircase I climbed gave me different views, all of them dreamlike.
Panoramic views of city buildings amidst green, blue and warmth.
I spotted a path, followed it and it led me to more beauty.
On my way down, I came across a fountain that was not in use, but still beautiful.
And to say goodbye, another garden with a place where there were small fish, I think I saw someone feeding them in the distance.
The reflection on the water was majestic, calm and enigmatic.
I said goodbye to the bushes and the trees above, before setting off on my way home.

Roads seem to have a constant: cats always around the path doing their thing. That's a wonderful walk. I wouldn't mind changing my landscape for that one.

Sounds fine. There are some nice places around to sit and drink mate.
That's what I'm preparing now, mate! Indeed, when I go there I take something to eat, drink and rest!

passing through the shadows of palm tree in silence is a treat. i always like this setup.....on way to my uncle place, there is a long shadow area created by big tress on both sides of the road...whenever i cross through it...i always stop in there to enjoy some tea from local vendor....i just wanted to enjoy the moment under the tree
I think and do the same, that shade under the trees is beautiful and I love to walk that way, every now and then I get the sun and then see how its rays pass through the trees.

Cats! The cats! Does anyone want to think about cats as they adorn the landscape? What beautiful pictures avesilla... I would like to be there and stalk the cats I mean... admire the scenery hahahaha
