Process in pictures - Proceso en imágenes

These days I was wondering what an extraterrestrial coffee would be like, out of this world or what kind of coffee aliens drink.

So it occurred to me that the coffee is generated by a light that derives from a spaceship that injects life into the coffee and makes a city grow in it and also that the coffee is blue in color.

It is served on a planet and is surrounded by constellations, while it is held by the hair of an alien woman.

Design process

The design is made with 8 images and 17 layers.

To make the background I used two images of the universe with different motifs. From each one I made two layers intercalating them and with fusions of focal light and lighter color.

Then I placed the planet below the design. And over it the cup.

I worked the water image with transformations to adjust it to the inside of the cup and from that I made three layers with overlapping fusions, strong light and color.

Then I selected part of the landscape image and placed it over the previous water in three layers with difference blends, focal light and darker color.

Later I worked on the image of the alien woman selecting and placing part of it on the cup in three layers with normal fusions, focal light and lighten.

Finally I placed the spaceship on top of the design in two layers with normal and raster fusions to generate brightness in the light beam.

The animation is done completely in After Effects, working on the opacity of each layer and adding lights in the form of clouds for better contrast.

Estos días me preguntaba cómo sería un café extraterrestre, fuera de este mundo o qué tipo de café toman los aliens.

Por lo se me ocurrió que el café es generado por una luz que deriva de una nave espacial que inyecta vida al café y hace crecer en la una ciudad y que además el café es de color azul.

Se sirve sobre un planeta y está rodeado de constelaciones, mientras lo sostiene el cabello de una mujer alien.

Proceso del diseño

El diseño está realizado con 8 imágenes y en 17 capas.

Para realizar el fondo usé dos imágenes de universo con distintos motivos. De cada una hice dos capas intercalándolas y con fusiones de luz focal y color más claro.

Luego coloqué abajo del diseño el planeta. Y sobre el la taza.

Trabajé la imagen del agua con transformaciones para ajustarla al interior de la taza y de eso realicé tres capas con fusiones superponer, luz fuerte y color.

Luego seleccioné parte de la imagen del paisaje y lo puse sobre esa agua anterior en tres capas con fusiones diferencia, luz focal y color más oscuro.

Posteriormente trabajé la imagen de la mujer alien seleccionando y acomodando parte de ella a la taza en tres capas con fusiones normal, luz focal y aclarar.

Finalmente puse la nave espacial encima del diseño en dos capas con fusiones normal y trama para generar brillo en el rayo de luz.

La animación está realizada completamente en After Effects, trabajando la opacidad de cada capa y agregando luces en forma de nubes para un mejor contraste.
