I do... mostly.

They were the sons or the brothers of the Emperor (before he was wounded) and basically became the fathers of the Space Marine chapters. I honestly never thought I'd see them on the table top though.

They've been releasing primarchs for Choas and Loyalists bit by bit for a while now. Rowboat Girlyman and Magnus were big deals pre-COVID.

Yeah, I just haven't been following 40K as closely in the last, um, couple of decades. I personally didn't love the reliance on hyper dominant characters as opposed to the strategy of the rank and file... but still, good to see the game progressing and evolving.

There has been a growing trend toward Herohammer mode with OP named characters everyone takes to be more competitive. On one hand, it's thematic and cool to have a centerpiece character for the army, but on the other hand, why should every Orky army list need Ghaz to be effective?
