Take my Mom to Yokohama (Japan)
Japan is the very popular travel spot for the Hong Kong people, there 9 out of 10 will take Japan as their destination when they are planning for their holiday.
My sister is one of the typical Hong Kong people who very into Japan, and she took my mom visiting Tokyo back in 2006 while I never ever travel aboard backward.
Many year later, in early 2014, I have chance to go Japan finally and I decided to take my mom to visit different city in Japan again, our destination was Yokohama where's not as popular as Tokyo, Osaka, but this city is still very nice to me though.
We took the early flight and arriving Haneda airport at 1 pm in Tokyo time as I remember, then we first go buy a Suica card for the metro, hold on, when talking about the Suica card (literally: Watermelon card) there, I guess we had bought the limited edition of the Suica card as many people told me that they seldom see the design of our card on hand. And we didn't refund the card and wanted to keep it as our collection no matter can we use it again in the future.
Lucky, I still keep the card in my card holder very well, and they are still in very good condition as of today (I remember my wife took my card for use when she travel to Tokyo with her company back in June 2019, we didn't took the card for our trip in Osaka in 2017 as I though it can be used in Tokyo area only)
After we got the Suica card, it's time for us to take the High Speed Train from Tokyo to Yokohama, I was taking us nearly 3 hours from the airport to Yokohama downtown, and the skies went dark when we arrived the downtown there.
We asked some people on the street to take a picture for us then we head to the World Portal for a nice sushi.

Your mum must've had so much fun there and can see it on her face, she's happy!I would love taking my mom abroad too and hopefully soon enough. Japan is definitely on the list.
yeah, she was excited and happy to seeing I took them to travel with her, and we had a really good time there, but I didn't bring enough clothes, the temperature was only 5-6 degree when we were there 😅
Damn that's really cold! must've been different than back in hongkong but good that you mention it, I'd be a weather agnostic if I am there, I'd bring coats but also summer stuff :D
Japan is great and you two are happy to visit it easily. From my point it’s very far away, but actually I have visited a dozen of times. Hope to go again soon. Enjoy yourselves!
it's not too bad from us, it's going to take about 5 and half hours to get there from Hong Kong, so, we were good, but I don't travel to Japan too often, I prefer to take my family to visit different places in every single trip, the world is too large, there are many places I want to show them. 😝
Japan looks very beautiful @atyh, I really want to go there, I really like seeing Japanese culture especially when there are cherry trees that are falling. looks behind your photo there is a beautiful tree. I pray that you and your mother are always healthy

Actually sometimes I drive my mom crazy 😂but overall our relationship is very good.
