Hello everyone,
I think it is a good opportunity when I can visit several countries in Southeast Asia, one of which is Vietnam. I am planning a short vacation this time to a city in Vietnam, of course with a short distance and cheap accommodation costs. Backpacker is the right choice for a country that is have characterized strong culture.

One of the factor that i want to come to Ho Chi Minh City because of one thing, there are interesting traces in one of the historical buildings they have, is about the Saigon Central Post Office. An interesting fact about this historic building, because it was built by someone who the architect of the Paris Eifel Tower. For me, its really make me even more curious about this building. Make your dream come true to come directly to the Saigon Central Post Office, located: in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.

Of course, this is one of the tourist destination for foreign tourists, all tours and travel will make Saigon Central Post Office a place that must be on the main list for a city tour. The location, easy access to drive here are wise choices in make this historic building a choice for pampering curious tourists.

Even though it is a historical building in the development of Ho Chi Minh City, this place is still used untill now, as an active post office, you can send the letters to your self through this post office. There are so many unique and beautiful stamps, papers and letters that you can use. I intend to send a letter to myself and send it to my house in Indonesia.

I met many foreign tourists from various countries traveling around with alone backpackers or group who came, took photos and listen to the tour guide tell the history of this building. Even though the sun was very hot and hot, I enjoy with this trip and very happy. See a building that is quite large and is the center of attention of Ho Chi Minh City.

The shape of the building at the front is quite different from buildings in Southeast Asian countries, it is clear that the architecture is strongly French, as you can be seen from the tall building with high pillars too. There is an old clock but still running and in good condition, it has the words 'BUU DIEN, Thanh Pho – Ho Chi Minh'.

The writing clearly says that this building was built from 1886 to 1891, which means this building is 132 years old, even older than my grandmother. Knowing that this place is really very beautiful with its architecture different from other buildings.

Entering the building, seeing a very large framed photo, right in the middle of the building, became the main highlight that it was the most meritorious person in this city, he is Ho Chi Minh, even his name became the name of this city too.

Between the pillars which are arranged very quickly and in balance, the color arrangement is truly timeless, classic but very luxurious. Amongst that, there are lots of people standing to see the extraordinary beauty of the building, it really should be one of your mandatory lists if you come to Ho Chi Minh City.

Apart from being a central post office, there are also several alleys that are used by local people to sell souvenirs such as letters, stationery, there are even several key chains, statues and many other types. Of course, they are very enthusiastic about welcoming tourists to buy some of what they sell to take home. Not only that, there are also traditional clothes from Vietnamese culture that can be rented to wear for taking photos here.
