Consider using Cursed Windeku in Unprotected Ruleset! | Social Media Challenge
Cursed Windeku are nightmarish creatures that live in the deepest and darkest woods. They hunt at night, stalking their prey before attacking with their claws, while their thorn-like horns and natural healing ability provide an excellent defense,. They exude a pungent pheromone that reduces the reaction time of their victims, often allowing the Windeku to begin devouring them before they are dead. While these lifeless creatures may appear animalistic, they are highly intelligent. They have heeded the call put forth by the Lord of Darkness. Their thirst for blood is now focused on the Chaos Legion.

My Line Up Explanation
- Leagues = Gold 3
- Unprotected = Monsters do not have any armor and do not get armor from Abilities or Summoner Buffs.
- Broken Arrow = Ranged attack Monsters may not be used in battles.
- 34 mana = high mana cap so obviuosly will maximize the monsters slot
- summoner = Only earth can't be used
The summoner that I used in this battle was Thaddius brood lv 5. considering ranged attacks can't be used so I tried to lower the enemy magic attacks and this creature will help me to do that. This card also gives -1 health to opponent monsters which is good news in unprotected ruleset
The monsters that I wanted to highlight today is cursed windeku. Especially in unprotected ruleset that really benefits this card, make sure you watch the battle replay to see it. this card will be giving enemy damage from thorn and attacks. the heal ability making this card more annoying to face, however the heal ability is available at level 5 and more.
The second card that I used was shadow snitch. At level 6 this card got affliction ability that makes this card gain a value in a line-up. this card reach ability and affliction will help dealing damage and giving debuff in case the enemy uses healing tank, this card low mana spent is really good to let the mana left to be used in other monsters instead.
The third monsters I used was the first magic monsters that I used. magi necrosi is useful to target enemy's monsters using it's snipe ability and the oppress making it more dangerouss since we tend to put no attacks / debuf / buff monsters at the second position. its attacks is fast allowing it attacking first
The fourth monsters that I used in this battle was life sapper. although this card posses low stats but this card is important and flexible in many situations. this card life leech makes this card powerful because it can attacks and gain health at the same time
When playing death splinters I usually can't use all the mana cap due to variety monsters in death splinter available. In this battle I was left with 2 mana left so I this card directly since it can attacks from behind this caard has quite high speed at level 1, that making it a good cards
In the last position people have tendencies to put high healt and armor monsters to take sneak damage that probably will be used. aware of the enemy might be using sneak. so, I decide to put Djinn Muirat to cover othe monster from sneak attacks. this card also has high magic attacks so it is a reasonable to choose this card in this battle
Did My Strategy Worked? What will I do Differently?
The enemy used level 4 tarsa in this battle so some of enemy's monster also at level below mine. the enemy's armor buff from kelya doesn't worked in this battle. So the enemy only got speed buff from kelya. my windeku manage to survive longer than demented shark thans to its lucky hit on demented shark.
About Cursed Windeku
What I like about this monster :
- Healing ability this card gets more useful when it has healing ability. This monsters will recover health that surely annoys the enemy
- Thorn ability When hit by enemy's melee monsters this card give damage back to the attacker. this ability is very helpful in many situations
- low mana spend speaking of mana this card will not dissappointed you cause it only needs 6 mana to summon
What i don't like about this monster:
- doesn't have armor, This monsters will be good once it has armor to cover some damage
When to use Cursed Windeku
I suggest you to use this monster only for this situation:
- Unprotected from the battle above we could see that this monsters is ahead from other splinter tanks, cause most of them get armor but lower health.
- earthquake/noxious fumes, his ability healing will eventually heals his damage from the poison and earthquake
- when you need tank it's amazing tanks you can have in death splinter with 3 attacks and healing ability + thorns.
When to Avoid using Disintegrator :
I don't recommend you to use this monster for this situation below:
- healed out, actually this card has good overal stats already, but when you need a longer live tanks you gonna need that heal to earn that
- reverse speed this card 3 speed will be a problem if used in the reverse speed ruleset
