LEARNING ABOUT THE HIVE KEYS & ITS SECURITY STAGE-02 (@arulbloger)
Hello all my friends and seniors
Hive Learners community
A few days ago I have completed stage 01 and today I will continue to stage 02 on 27 January 2022 which is about “Security keys in hives” (basic learning about hives) Before we go further into the platform, of course we must first first understand about hive and how. like we make a house, of course we have a door lock where the key really needs to get out or enter, therefore we must maintain good locks and security, so that our homes are not burglarized by thieves. as well as the security of our hive accounts. as well as the hive platform, especially what we have to understand is about account lock or security, after that there are others, and I have studied it, today I will explain it to all my friends, if later there are errors or incomplete explanations from my explanation, please provide input so that I can also maintain the security of my account.
Okay okay now I will explain, more precisely answer some questions from our moderator.
hive has 4 keys that we must know, namely MASTER KEY, ACTIVE KEY, POSTING KEY, and finally MEMO KEY, where each key has a different function of course from very important to mediocre (not unimportant, because every key is important, we just rarely use it)
For more details I will sort out one by one from the 4 function buttons above.
MASTER KEY
With the master key we can replace another key, and most importantly we can recover the account if something happens or rather the key that I often use
ACTIVE KEY
This button functions for transaction activities, such as when sending tokens we will be asked for this key and also when doing Power UP and Power Down.
KEY POST
When making a post we can use this key, besides that the post key can also be used to comment and UPVOTE & DOWNVOTE.
MEMO KEY
This key can be used to view or send encrypted messages. (I rarely use it)
If you haven't found or saved the 4 keys, the first thing you have to do is open the swallow, then press the & permissions button, and you will find it there.
You can see an example below
For security in storing passwords, of course everyone has their own way, and I'm sure everyone will consider where they think is safe to store their important keys, what people usually do is save in Google Drive, Email, messenger, cellphone records and many others. and I myself also store it in one of the ones mentioned above.
I think what I have said above is enough to apply, especially for myself personally, and maybe for all of my friends, and it would be even better if there were other inputs from friends who might understand more about the security aspect in storing keys. passwords should be done.
Together we provide input for mutual safety and progress in a community, in the end I would like to thank all the Moderators especially to @prayzz and @kronias who have given very good direction regarding this stage so that I can understand it. and finally I @arulbloger have done it.
"THANKS"
