A Walk along The Beach / Wednesday Walk
Having my family from Cape Town this week has kept me very busy...and has put me in a bit of a spot with the April daily posting challenge.
Well!...another day gone by with good intentions of getting my post out in time.
Whether I'm in or out...I'm going to continue with the April challenge #HiveBloPoMo hosted by the wonderful lady @traciyork, even if it's just to encourage others to go for it.
Can't believe it's day 7 of the challenge already.
Oh why?...Oh why? are the days so short. Lol!
Any way... let me take you on a Wednesday Walk on the beach on this Thursday Morning. Hehe!
A Walk on the Beach
While visiting my daughter last weekend in Umhlanga Rocks North Coast of Durban South Africa, we took a walk along the beach.
There's something about the sea that majestically draws me to it; the salty smell of the ocean and the cool breeze on my face, the sand under my feet....it makes me feel so relaxed and satisfied with life
A a few hours on the beach is like being on a holiday for a week.... I just love it!
We strolled past some people frolicking happily on the shore with their family and friends.
The light house is one of the historical land marks of Umhlanga Rocks and was built in 1954, it's purpose was and still is, to warn ships of hidden dangers and also to welcome ships into the Durban Harbor.
The light house is also very popular amongst photography enthusiasts, a good starting point to explore the Water Front.
I took some photos of the beautiful art work which decorates the paving along the Boulevard going down to the beach.
Beautiful typical African Art.
We made our way back up to the parking area and headed home.
I had to take one last shot of the ships in the distance waiting to enter the Harbor.
Thank you for walking with me along Umhlanga Rocks Beach, I hope you have enjoyed it as much as I did.
I would like to encourage others to please participate in the April #HiveBloPoMo hosted by @traciyork

Thank you @joanstewart it was a glorious walk. Thank you for stopping by.
I have not been up there in awhile, do go North, far north normally.
Pristine and clean, our area has truly gone down the drain with locals very unhappy about our towns appearance.
Life often gets in the way and takes away time that we would like to spend on hive, but if its family time then I think thats a good thing, and if you have missed a day or two, so be it i like your driven to say ohh well and carry on regardless :)
Nice to have you join the Wednesday Walk with this lovely walk along the beach, walks by the water are always the walks I enjoy the most and that is such a beautiful area, lovely beaches and love that artwork
