Mis primeros pasos en Medicina Interna/ Todos tenemos un poder// My first steps in Internal Medicine / We all have a power

Saludos mis estimados Hivers, inició la semana y con ella se renuevan esperanza y la fe de que nuestras actividades cotidianas sean exitosas y productiva, siempre de la mano de Dios.

Desde aquí les mando mis mejores deseos de salud, dicha y prosperidad.

Hoy se cumple una semana, desde que inicié mi post grado en Medicina Interna, han sido días de trabajo arduo y mucho sacrificio, que definitivamente valen cada segundo y aunque se sufre, se disfruta, se aprende y se crece tanto en lo personal como en lo laboral, cosa que agradezco con mi alma.

Son muchos los paciente que hemos acordado desde que inicié esta nueva aventura, y aunque la mayoría de las enfermedades las he tratado antes, esta vez se tratan con mayor profundidad, intentando siempre cooperar y proteger a quien lo requiere.

El apoyo de parte de los especialista y demás residentes ha sido total y absoluto, compartiendo e impartiendo sus conocimientos en cada oportunidad que se presenta.

Esta semana hemos tratado, enfermedades renales, miocardiopatias, crisis hipertensivas, enfermedades cerebrovasculares, cardiopatia isquémicas, neumonías por covid entre otras, son muchos los pacientes que ponen en nuestras manos sus vidas y los cuales debemos brindar nuestro mayor esfuerzo.

Lo anteriormente me lleva a reflexionar en que todos los seres humanos tenemos un poder.

El ser humano tiene la capacidad de ser y hacer lo que quiera, de cambiar costumbres, hábitos e incluso su cuerpo. También de influenciar a quienes nos rodean.

Lo más importante es que en lo que nos queramos desenvolver, pongamos el corazón.

Ahora, referente a los médicos, nuestro poder debe crecer al igual que nuestra capacidad (y por supuesto, nuestra obligación) tanto para salvar vidas como adquirir conocimiento y la oportunidad de brindar sosiego, consuelo, y tranquilidad a aquellos pacientes que lo requieran y esos familiares y amigos que han perdido un ser querido.

Es un poder que no se lee en los libros ni posee una fórmula precisa, se obtiene con quizá con sensibilidad o experiencia del contacto con los pacientes y sus familiares.

Cuando se estudia medicina se tiene la dicha de embriagarse de conocimientos, madurar, fomentar relaciones interpersonales e impregnarse de empatía, en pocas palabras: Reconocer el sufrimiento, comprenderlo y aliviarlo.

Los médicos llevamos el poder de la educación y los valores del saber, hablar y expresarse. Válgase de atributos y habilidades para conseguir lo necesario para ayudar, aunque sabemos que no será fácil muchas veces.

Ese poder de trascender y transformarse en un pensamiento de ayuda constante, será el recuerdo más bonito de quienes quisimos ser.

Recuerda,cada uno de nosotros tenemos un poder, independientemente de la profesión que tengas, actúa siempre nobleza y honestidad, que las recompensas vienen del Altísimo.

Today marks a week, since I started my postgraduate degree in Internal Medicine, there have been days of hard work and a lot of sacrifice, which are definitely worth every second and although you suffer, enjoy, learn and grow both personally and in the work, something that I appreciate with my soul.

There are many patients that we have agreed on since I started this new adventure, and although I have treated most of the diseases before, this time they are treated in greater depth, always trying to cooperate and protect those who need it.

The support from the specialists and other residents has been total and absolute, sharing and imparting their knowledge at every opportunity that arises.

This week we have treated kidney diseases, cardiomyopathies, hypertensive crises, cerebrovascular diseases, ischemic heart disease, covid pneumonia among others, there are many patients who put their lives in our hands and to whom we must offer our best effort.

The above leads me to reflect that all human beings have a power.

The human being has the ability to be and do what he wants, to change customs, habits and even his body. Also to influence those around us.


The most important thing is that in what we want to develop, we put our hearts.

Now, regarding doctors, our power must grow as well as our capacity (and of course, our obligation) both to save lives and to acquire knowledge and the opportunity to provide calm, comfort, and tranquility to those patients who require it and those family and friends who have lost a loved one.

It is a power that is not read in books or has a precise formula, it is obtained with perhaps sensitivity or experience of contact with patients and their families.

When you study medicine, you have the joy of getting drunk on knowledge, maturing, fostering interpersonal relationships and imbuing yourself with empathy, in a few words: Recognizing suffering, understanding it and alleviating it.

Physicians carry the power of education and the values ​​of knowing, speaking and expressing oneself. Use attributes and skills to get what it takes to help, although we know that it will not be easy many times.

That power to transcend and transform into a thought of constant help, will be the most beautiful memory of who we wanted to be.

Remember each of us has a power, regardless of the profession you have, always act nobility and honesty, that the rewards come from the Most High.
