A few words to you

I have to admit, I'm struggling a bit with the new Chaos Legion cards and the amount of bots in the game in the lower leagues and sometimes even the RNG Gods are against me. In these times I need to take a step back and enjoy the little things in life.
One of them is the community we have here and all the great projects running in the background. I like to be on Discord or write posts and in the last days I received a few rewards, so I would like to return something of it to the community.

SBT - Splinterlands Battle Tokens

SBT is a reward token that you choose to give out to people who you enjoyed a fight within the Splinterlands game. It does nothing inside of the game and can just be collected, sold, or bought at the moment, but interesting new use cases are being discussed. In the meantime simply reward this token as you see fit. See you on the battlefield.

SBT was created by @itzninjafool end of last year and I saw a lot of potential, great ideas and posts around it. Unfortunately christmas and new year happened, and as many of us, this project took a break as well. But now it's time to restart it.

Competition

And now let's get to the contest. As I find this project interesting I have decided to create a small competition and invest some of my funds into it in the form of the winnings!
Hopefully this will increase the awareness around this coin as well :)

Rules for entry:

  • Tag the player you fought with (@ingamename), explain why you would like to send your enemy some SBT and add the link to the fight
  • 1 fight/user
  • Everyone who participates with a fight will receive 500 SBT as well as the player they fought against.
  • Winners will be decided according to how many upvotes the post has. Please keep it clean and don't use alts to upvote posts. If there are no upvotes, then I will decide the order.

Competition will run till this post is open. Results will be published latest on the 01/16.

Close call, congrats! I was really afraid that your play was countered at the beginning, but you utilized the holy shield + blast ruleset masterly.

Thanks for asking. When I checked to see if I can find it there I found out that it is easier to send SBT out from the Peakd Wallet, then from the Keychain I used till now :D

I would like to tag @monokay here, because he/she lost lately against me in a fight with the typical magic (lower rank) setup in a fight, that shows that sometimes speed is more important than damage. And of course he made the mistake to put the Khmer Princess with only 2 HP next to Mycelic Slipspawn. I love general sloan combined with time mage!

Sorry for that. Def put 1-2 filler cards before him, with Kelyia you can win 1-2 round with the added shield. Thanks for the great learning opportunity. Demented Shark is one of my favorite cards on high mana games!

Redefining Water Decks with the Chaos Legion:

I want to share I battle I fought with my fellow guild mate @lordwindgrace last week in the Golden Leagues. He brought a pretty strong Gold League maxed magic-based earth deck to the battlefield - including Kron and the Behemoth. With 42 we had a quite high mana cap and the heavy hitter ruleset applying. I unfortunately went for a water defense deck with CL cards only and no magic reflect units. It looked like an easy win for the earth troops. So, we both were pretty suprised as the water deck wiped their opponents from the board - not having lost a single card in the end. I played this deck a couple of times since then and it so far stand the test of time. My opponent from the battle here meanwhile also used the deck and developed it further - bringing water defence to the next level ;)

Thanks for hosting the competition!

Wanted to share a pretty close fight with my opponent @thebeast-02, it was an Earth vs Life matchup with Unprotected and Reverse Speed as the modifiers. I had some pretty clutch hits from Grund even with its 3 speed to win the match.

You really obliterated the fire team. It is great to see how strong the life + neutral magic team can be. They would need a magic summoner and they will be unbeatable :D Maybe in the next league.
