Is there anyone without a favorite food?
Hello Ladies and gentlemen of Hive. I always love to post in this community because of the relatable and interesting topics to write about. Kudos to the MODs.
Yes is there actually anyone without a favorite food? I am a great believer of the saying "food is life" 😂. I am no glutton though but hey when you have food on your table and you can eat the food, whatever problem you have is 50 percent solved 😁, that's my opinion though, incase you don't agree with me.
I love tasty food, I care less about whatever it is they call flavor. Who flavor help. A food might have a lot of flavor or aroma but tasteless. That can be really painful if you have experienced it before. Therefore, any day any time, it's the taste for me.
When anyone ask me what my favorite food is, I tell them I do not have then add that I have not explored enough varieties of food yet to pick a favourite that fast. I am so tired of my everyday kind of meal for example rice, pasta, noodles, yam, beans etc. A typical Nigerian food. I got tired of them, so that's why I reply that I don't have a favourite good yet.
Little did I know that I was only deceiving myself. I have a favourite food but I did not pay enough attention to it. That food is beans and fresh maize. In my language which is Yoruba we call it "ewa ati agbado". It is Beans cooked together with sweet fresh maize then sauced with enough fresh pepper and oil.
If the the maize is fresh, beans cooked till soft and well sauced, omoooo, it's love all the way for me. I can eat a big bowl of it, I don't get satisfied, don't know why 😂. I just continue to eat and eat until I remember to caution myself to watch my weight 😁. I enjoy eating it.
The preparation is really simple and easy. First step is wash the beans and set apart the fresh maize to be used. Place water in a pot on fire then pour the washed beans into the water on fire. Allow the beans to boil to almost soft then pour in the maize. Add salt, cover the allow to boil. When the maize and the beans are soft, then add grinded fresh pepper, onions and palm oil. Allow to cook then turn in the pot with a big spoon. You can then garnish with your favourite vegetables There you have it. Simple as that.

One of my favorite food! I could eat this maize and corn combo thrice a week without getting tired. Just that I would fart because of the beans. Especially if not parboiled.
Farting no fit kee PERSON jawe 😁😁

Good food, I love beans especially when being cooked with fresh fish
Hmmm, I've never tried that before tho but it sounds delicious.
Since when did water stop being life? Now it is food is life🧐🤔🤣
You are a proud foodie, no capping lol.
Well, unlike you, I use to believe I had a favorite food, but now I don't think so, maybe the story is quite different, who knows? Like you say it's only our major Nigerian delicacies we've really eaten and i haven't had the chance of exploring other international delicacies to know which I could say I like best but all the same, there are still local dishes I love, I will share mine soon enough.
I don't like anything beans sha🤣🤣 so sorry, enjoy your favorite alone o
