#Fungi Friday 🍄 🍄 🍄 - Lactarius Quietus
Today I would like to tell you about the summer mushroom that grows massively in our area.
This mushroom is called Lactarius quietus!
It grows mainly among oak trees,
although it can grow in other deciduous forests with a small number of oak trees.
The whole mushroom has a solid red-brown or cream color.
Its size reaches 10 centimeters in diameter, sometimes more ...
When cut or broken, white milk is released, bitter in taste,
thats why many people soak them before cooking ...
They have a specific taste, so you need to fry these mushrooms separately from others to enjoy this taste!
But I like to pick them more! The mushrooms that are in the picture, I pickled in the summer and treated my students when we went to a picnic in honor of the end of the school year)
Everyone really liked this mushroom, and some of the students also began to harvest these mushrooms, although they did not know anything about them before)
So I wish you a good harvest of these wonderful mushrooms next season!
That's all for today! Thanks for being with me!
Take care of yourself and your loved ones and Happy #Fungifriday!!!
Yay! 🤗
