Shy Princess Plant
Tonight I will post and tell about one type of plant that we very often find in our yards, even in gardens, on the banks of rivers, and also very much grows wild on the side of the road.
The name of this plant in my area is called the Putri Malu plant. Why is it called the shy daughter? It is said that according to the myth of the ancestors of this plant when touched or exposed to other objects the leaves will close, therefore the name Putri Malu was given.
Meanwhile, according to scientific research in the literature that I found, the shy princess plant actually closes to protect itself from herbivorous animals that want to eat it. In general, during the day the leaves of the shy princess plant will open, while at night the leaves of the embarrassed princess will close. The embarrassed daughter plant will also close when there is a touch from other objects.
This plant is also very much used for herbal medicines, such as dry medicinal herbs and others because from within this plant has rich benefits for curing various diseases. Be it parts, flowers, leaves or stems.
Diseases that can be cured such as wounds caused by diabetes, minor injuries, hemorrhoids, hepatitis, liver, insomnia and others.
