Reciban todos un cordial saludo y una feliz navidad. El día de hoy quiero contarles un poco sobre mi nochebuena 2022, esta celebración de navidad un poco distinta al resto pues está es la primera navidad junto con mi hijo Daniel Andrés.

I wish you all a warm greeting and a Merry Christmas. Today I want to tell you a little about my Christmas Eve 2022, this Christmas celebration a little different from the rest because this is the first Christmas with my son Daniel Andrés.

Navidad o nochebuena es una de las fiestas anuales que más me encantan, es una noche donde la alegría y la unión familiar están entrelazadas la una con la otra. Es una noche donde la tristeza y melancólica no existe, pues es una noche donde la risa y la ilusión de los niños nos brindan esa paz que solamente la podemos encontrar en la pureza de los niños.

Christmas or Christmas Eve is one of the annual holidays that I love the most, it is a night where joy and family togetherness are intertwined with each other. It is a night where sadness and melancholy do not exist, because it is a night where laughter and the illusion of children give us that peace that can only be found in the purity of children.

Esta también fue la primera navidad que pasé sin mi mamá, ya que ella se encuentra fuera de Venezuela y aunque si reconozco que la extrañe mucho, gracias al WhatsApp siempre estuvimos juntos; sin embargo, recibí la buena noticia que llegara este jueves así que podremos recibir el año 2023 juntos. Esta noticia me brindo una alegría y satisfacción muy grande, puesto que pronto estaremos juntos para abrazarnos y desearnos un feliz año como siempre lo hemos hecho.

This was also the first Christmas I spent without my mom, since she is out of Venezuela and although I recognize that I missed her a lot, thanks to WhatsApp we were always together; however, I received the good news that will arrive this Thursday so we can receive the year 2023 together. This news brought me great joy and satisfaction, since we will soon be together to hug and wish each other a happy new year as we have always done.

El día 24 de diciembre decidí irme con mi esposa y mi hijo a casa de mi suegra para allí realizar la tradicional cena de nochebuena y también para colocar el primer regalo de navidad a nuestro pequeño hijo Daniel. Esta navidad sería cargada con mayor alegría, pues tuvimos la dicha este año de ser padres de un hermoso bebé el cual ha traído mucha felicidad a nuestras vidas.

On December 24th I decided to go with my wife and son to my mother-in-law's house for the traditional Christmas Eve dinner and also to give the first Christmas present to our little son Daniel. This Christmas would be loaded with more joy, because we had the joy this year of being parents of a beautiful baby boy who has brought a lot of happiness to our lives.

Al llegar a casa de mi suegra ya estaba la mesa servida, así que nos acomodamos para disfrutar de un exquisito plato tradicional venezolano, el cual consta de hallaca (una especie de tamal relleno de carne de res, pollo, cerdo, aceitunas y pasas) junto con el tradicional pernil y el pan de jamón. El plato estuvo exquisito, el sabor a tradición decembrina estuvo presente bocado a bocado junto con una amena conversación familiar en dónde nos reímos a carcajadas.

When we arrived at my mother-in-law's house, the table was already served, so we settled in to enjoy an exquisite traditional Venezuelan dish, which consists of hallaca (a kind of tamale filled with beef, chicken, pork, olives and raisins) along with the traditional pernil (pork leg) and ham bread. The dish was exquisite, the taste of Christmas tradition was present bite by bite along with a pleasant family conversation where we laughed out loud.

Al terminar la cena salimos un rato a la calle a sentarnos con el abuelo, quien en todo momento estuvo cargando a mi hijo, pues es increíble el lazo afectivo que ambos han desarrollado. A veces me pregunto quién hace más feliz a quien ❤️ su abuelo parecía otro niño haciéndole cosquillas y diversas caras graciosas para hacerlo reír.

When dinner was over we went outside for a while to sit with grandpa, who at all times was holding my son, as it is amazing the emotional bond they both have developed. Sometimes I wonder who makes who happier ❤️ his grandfather looked like another child tickling him and various funny faces to make him laugh.

Al acercarse las 12 ya mi niño se encontraba un poco cansado, pues en toda la noche no durmió, la algarabía de la noche y el estruendo de los fuegos artificiales hicieron efecto en su sueño. El cual retraso considerablemente su descanso, en vista de esto decidimos adelantar un poco la hora, así que nos reunimos todos cerca del arbolito para entregarle su regalo de navidad y así poder tomarle unas fotografías para su álbum fotográfico.

As 12 o'clock approached, my son was already a little tired, as he had not slept all night, the noise of the night and the roar of the fireworks had an effect on his sleep. In view of this we decided to move up the time a little, so we all gathered near the tree to give him his Christmas present and take some pictures for his photo album.

Su felicidad era muy notoria, él es un bebé al que le gustan mucho los sonidos y el carro que le habíamos regalado, tenía algunos temas musicales incorporados, esto le generó mucha curiosidad y lo incentivan a pulsar todos los botones simultáneamente cómo si trata de descifrar cada sonido, admito que está fue una experiencia muy satisfactoria cómo padre lo cual me lleno de mucha alegría. Luego de posar para algunas fotografías, mi esposa comenzó a pasearlo en su carro por todos los alrededores.

His happiness was very noticeable, he is a baby who loves sounds and the car we had given him, had some musical themes incorporated, this made him very curious and encouraged him to press all the buttons simultaneously as if trying to decipher each sound, I admit that this was a very satisfying experience as a parent which filled me with much joy. After posing for some pictures, my wife started to drive him around in her car.

Tiempo después, cuando pensé que ya no había más sorpresas, mi esposa me dice que el niño Jesús me trajo un regalo por haberme portado bien todo el año 🤣 así que de una vez corrí a abrir mi regalo (yo parecía otro niño) (risas), se trataba un bello y exquisito perfume de Paco Rabane el cual tenía un olor estupendo, cabe resaltar que soy amante de los perfumes y este realmente me encantó, así que De esta forma termino nuestra nochebuena dejándonos hermosos recuerdos y una eterna alegría de haber compartido nuestra primera navidad como padres al lado de nuestro pequeño Daniel Andrés.

Some time later, when I thought there were no more surprises, my wife told me that the baby Jesus brought me a gift for having behaved well all year 🤣 so I ran to open my gift (I looked like another child) (laughs), it was a beautiful and exquisite perfume by Paco Rabane which had a great smell, It is worth mentioning that I am a perfume lover and I really loved this one, so that's how our Christmas Eve ended, leaving us with beautiful memories and an eternal joy of having shared our first Christmas as parents with our little Daniel Andres.
