Sunset Persimmons through my 35mm

avatar

It's a real pleasure to have my camera back and, at the same time, to be away for a week, away from my usual subjects and closer to new sceneries !

As I'm travelling, I only took my 35mm lens to accompany my traditional Nikon D550, but given the impressive 1.8 aperture of this lens, it's already more than enough to get back into practice :)

These persimmons in my grandmother's garden are one of them, and I have to say that I enjoy photographing them almost as much as eating them. Returning to my camera and its settings after a few months is like rekindling a fire after a cold night, or finding a friend I've lost sight of for too long.

It takes a little time to readjust, but it's really very satisfying to find the turns of phrase and the things you like and those you tend to like less.

In the end, I had very little time to take these few images, as everyone knows, sunset is a very short moment in its final phase !

But I still had enough to have a bit of fun and try out different variations and combinations of angles, settings and viewpoints.

I hope you enjoy these warm-up photos, and thank you for your visit !

Take care and have a nice day,

<3

<3

Great photos man. My mom loves to eat these persimmons haha. Now we are drying them and we will eat them in winter when it is very cold.

Nice shots. I can see the brightness of the sun on the persimmons making it look more fresh.

The analogy of finding a long lost friend is a great one! So true. And your photos are delightful. Persimmons in your grandmothers garden? Yummy. I'm sure that the childhood memories adds to the sweetness of a delicious fruit

Absolutely ! The ones that mark me the most have always been cherries, maybe cause we're more present in summer 😅

Thank you @buckaroobaby, have a lovely Sunday 😘
