Photography Lovers||View at PAYA LAOT reservoir
How are you all #PhotographyLovers?
Hello my friends, meet me again in this beloved community. On this occasion I am back in this photography lover community and share some pictures
My friends!!
A few days ago when the time showed almost breaking the fast in our area, I and a friend of mine NGABUBURIT or in other words took a short walk while waiting for the time to break the fast and we stopped for a while at a reservoir not far from our settlement, the reservoir is called the PAYA LAOT reservoir
The PAYA LAOT reservoir can be said to be the heart of the lives of the surrounding community because of its many functions and its history which is so interesting to hear
The role of the reservoir for the lives of the surrounding community is very large, one of which is a water source for the rice fields in the settlement, the community around the reservoir only plants rice twice a year, which usually other people do it three times, one of the causes is the frequent drying up of the PAYA LAOT reservoir, so that the community is not optimal in harvesting.
And when we visited this reservoir it was dry (although not completely dry) but this could be a water supply for the community in harvesting rice
My friend!!
It is said that in the PAYA LAOT reservoir settlement there has been life since ancient times before the Dutch came to Indonesia, this is proven by several tombstones found next to the reservoir from the Samudra Pasai era.
My friend!!
The PAYA LAOT reservoir also presents a charming tropical natural panorama for its class, such beautiful nature, such calm water and the sound of birds singing is very amazing. It is truly a calming atmosphere.
- This reservoir has a water barrier, which the water restriction will automatically be used by residents
During the rainy season, they will close the barrier and open it when they need water for their rice fields.
This barrier was built during the Dutch era but because it had collapsed, it was renovated again several years ago without distinguishing its architecture from the past.
- My friend!!
When I edited the water restrictions to black/white, the restrictions really reminded us of the era when the Dutch were here, this building when renovated again did not look different from before.
- And I also took the time to take some pictures of the reservoir scenery
It was truly an extraordinary sight for me because of the perfect combination of beautiful nature, calm water, amazing bird songs, this atmosphere was truly very calming to the heart and finally after taking some pictures we returned
Because the time was almost time to break the fast, we hurried back

We also have the same reservoir here in our community. It has been calm, but when the heavy rain comes, the water goes up and it's scaring us sometimes.
Doesn't the reservoir have automatic doors, which can open when it rains heavily?
Thank you for stopping by, and have a nice day 🤗
