"Celebrate the Higalaay Holiday Market Festival at Boulevard Walk"

# It's another Wednesday once again to share my new WednesdayWalk experience here. Last night was a rainy kind of walk, but instead of complaining that it was raining, I took it for granted that the Holiday Festival is not crowded. There are few people who visited the holiday festival market.

We were in the night market last night; it was not our plan to go to Boulevard, but our attention was caught by the fireworks display, even though it was raining last night, and we thought that it came from the Holiday Festival Market, so we called a motorela tricycle and asked the driver to bring us to Boulevard, where the holiday market is located.

We expected that there were a lot of people, but we are surprised that there are no fireworks, and the fireworks that we saw are from the sports complex of some event. Another surprise is that it's not crowded; only the tenants are there. And we continue walking, and because we do not have dinner yet, we look for an affordable food stall to eat at.

We took the walk up to the last stall and figured out that their barbeques are cheaper for only 1 HBD; the barbeques are good for two. We order two barbeques, two rice, and two soft drinks, and we only pay for 4 HBD, or 200 pesos, if the HBD rate is 50 per 1 HBD in Php, and we enjoy the food so much. We wait for the rain to stop, but it didn't stop and we were running out of time, so we decided to continue looking and walking around.

They offer seafood as well, such as grilled squid, shrimp, which is my favorite, fish, and oysters, but they are so pricey that I cannot afford them. Maybe I will buy those when I get a job and when I have a salary, but as of now I am really struggling.

There are many food stalls in the area and also stalls for non-food items such as toys, clothing, and many more. I think they also have a live band, but since there are not many people and it's raining, it's not operating. Id like to try the fruitshakes, but since we were planning to our next destination to the fresh fruit shake cafe, I wasn't able to order at the Boulevard fruit shake stall.

Honestly, I am planning to rent a stall here in Boulevard, but since it was so expensive for 20,000 pesos a month just for a small stall, I cannot afford to rent, and also, business is not well for me this year due to many competitions, so I have to decide to stop my business and focus on my writing and ESL teaching application. I am looking forward to getting a job very soon.

I saw business owners in the area selling the same merchandise as mine, such as clothing, cosmetics, accessories, bags, toys, and many more, but the difference is that my price is lower than their price. But even though I will lower my price, Ive noticed that my sales are not the same as before, that there is no competition with the merchandise that I am selling, and I think poverty is very rampant now a days that people can't afford to buy their wants and they prefer to buy their needs.

The night is getting late and it's still raining, so we have to go because it's difficult to get a jeepney to get back home, and I would like to thank @tattoodjay for letting me share in this wonderful community where we can share our every Wednesdaywalk experience that #makesmesmile.

### Thank you so much for reading my post today, and I am looking forward to seeing you in my next post. I hope you had a wonderful day!!
