Matthew 22 : 37 this verse made me understand that love is an instruction love is a commandment from God to his true disciple it says we (shall) this means we must love the Lord our God with all our heart and with all our soul this is an instruction. Now the question here must people will ask how can the express or show this love to God the answer is very simple we where made to understand that we should obey the word of God that says in
Matthew 22 : 39 here this verse is teaching us to love our neighbours as our self this means that for us to truly keep this commandment of God that says we should love the Lord our God with all our heart and with all our soul and with all our mind this simple means that anything we do unto our neighbours we also do it unto God so it is important to show love to our brothers in need not just because it is a commandment but because it is the right thing to do.
I still keep referring to
John 3 : 16 this is the perfect example of love shown to use by God this verse says for God so loved the world that he gave.
This means God firstly loved and because he love he gave. This makes me understand the principle of love we can not say we love our neighbours yet we see our neighbours hungry and cannot render any help yet we have what it takes to help that man. Bro Eli made us understand that it is wrong in this verse God him self has shown us a practical example of loving our neighbour as our self.
