Seems you got quite a bit accomplished today, regardless of the moodiness...😏 Cats solved my vermin problem; I had three, plus regular strays who visit. You might try spreading mint or cloves (or combination thereof) on the floors of enclosed areas to help; that seems to help some infestation problems. I've heard that meeces are also repelled by moth-balls... they hate the smell.

Have a happy day.

Yup I can usually push on through the moody stuff. Mainly the vermin are holed up for the winter and with no snakes around they get obnoxious. That all changes in another few weeks as the snakes wake up.

Having chicken feed around has been drawing the vermin to the site and during the beginning of the winter I often get lax and skip doing routine control with the dogs.

I am only dealing with like one or two big rats in an acre's worth of woodland so its not bad. Mainly I keep the population down and try to leave some for the snakes that come out early. Preferably away from the places me and the animals are so like a tarp covered wood pile or small to large brush piles.
