Hello from a happy to be back shadow and reflection hunter

Thank you @seckorama for your reminder nudge on the joys and learning photography skills attached to shadow and reflection hunting. The #shadowhunter community created by @melidna010100 was one of the first communities I joined four years ago and one in which I use to post in regularly.

Posting under the shadow hunters tag once more is a good feel.

From the time I started really looking at shadows and reflections I discovered the hypnotic hold they had on me. They seem to be everywhere and I found that I was taking lots of photos. Hence, the photos I am sharing on this post I just happen to conveniently find sitting in my library.

The surf beach is a recurring theme in my many photos.

One of my favourite places to take pics of shadows and reflections is on my surf beach across the road. I consider it to be an extension of my backyard, a mere 100 metres walking distance that takes only couple of minutes to reach the sandy beach.

Spending time on the beach with two extra busy little boys is always a special privilege. They are forever digging holes in the sand knocking down castles one moment and then paddling and rolling on the water's edge the next moment.

I watched the 3 year old dig with his pink spade, I only saw his shadow. Here is a series of three photos taken simultaneously.

As long as the fading sun is throwing out enough light In the late afternoon reflections are always seen on the water's edge.

People's legs make for very interesting reflections, like this photo of a man fishing off the beach.

On some afternoons close to sunset when there is a heavy cloud formation beautiful coloured artistic reflections are caste on the wet sand. It is a most surreal experience surrounded by mother nature. Clouds play a fabulous role in producing the loveliest of muted shades of a wide range of reflections in the wet sand. I never tire and am never disappointed. There is plenty of variety to keep me interested.

My last photo with a little shadow was aptly snapped at the end of one of the beach play sessions.

A most fitting ending, they boys were done in, it was time to go for some food!

All my words flow from the thoughts and all my photographs are taken by my artistic self.

Love the shadows of the little one. He is having such a fun time playing in the sand. 💕 You have an ideal location Angie. Amazing reflection of the legs. 😊

Thank you Jo, praise will get your everywhere. I just have to make sure I do not overdo photographing my ideal location.
But staying at home seems to be the best option right now as the government have opened our borders to all our fellow Australians and omicron is rapidly spreading. The plan is for everyone to catch it so we can get on with living again. Ben and I are full vaccinated and will get our booster shot in a few weeks.
Sending love
