Thank You To A Humble Local Cafe

A useful business is one that makes other people smile happily.

InShot_20241104_160601912.jpg

I want to tell you about something that often happens in the area where I live. A story about how people often underestimate the businesses or efforts made by people around our place of residence.

IMG_20241029_102614.jpg

When someone opens a culinary business, often the people around them do not support them. They don't even want to visit and buy something cheap. More often than not, people around them will say strange or bad things about the business. Maybe because the area around my place of residence is not yet very modern. The people in it find it difficult to provide support to others because they feel that they are also not economically sufficient.

I am very sad about what happened. We as a society or a good community group should be able to support each other. Not bring each other down when someone opens a new business.

That is why local culinary businesses in my area will find it difficult to survive. Local businesses that survive are very commendable for how they have good marketing strategies. Of course, delicious food and drinks are what make culinary businesses survive.

THE PLACE

IMG_20241029_111655.jpg

There is a local business that has survived for quite a long time. Uniquely, there is an interesting story about a small cafe in the area where I live. Its name is "Huda Kopi". This cafe was built in the house of my junior high school teacher. This cafe is managed by the child of a junior high school teacher. My junior high school was right across the street from this cafe.

When visiting this cafe, I remembered my school days. I waited for public transportation to pass in front of this cafe in the past :)

"Huda Kopi". A cafe that focuses on coffee drinks and snacks. Until now it has survived and has many good and positive reviews on Google Maps. This small place is not a fancy cafe. This cafe that offers simplicity actually attracts many young people to stop by this place.

IMG_20241029_111707.jpg

From the front, this cafe does look like an ordinary house. Because this cafe was built in front of a house that had not been renovated at all. We can see the design inside like a green yard. Nothing has changed from this house since the time I was in junior high school.

IMG_20241029_105417.jpg

The shady trees make this coffee shop shady and suitable to stop by during the day. I chose to sit in the back area of this cafe. I felt like I was sitting in my grandmother's yard, because my teacher's house was made of wood and had not been renovated at all.

COFFEE

IMG_20241029_102324.jpg

I felt very happy when I visited this cafe. A cafe that made me smile because of their delicious coffee. And, of course, the price is cheap, only around 1 dollar.

IMG_20241029_102449.jpg

IMG_20241029_103445.jpg

I ordered a combination of espresso with sweetened condensed milk. A cup of enthusiasm that made my eyes not feel sleepy anymore in the middle of the day.

IMG_20241029_102559.jpg

A cup of delicious coffee, with good quality coffee that made me smile. Also, never forget the delicious aroma!

Heavenly Snacks

IMG_20241029_103634.jpg

A delicious coffee is certainly complemented by delicious snacks. I am very grateful for this local cafe, which makes me very happy. These snacks are not more than a dollar but evoke a sense of comfort and nostalgia.

IMG_20241029_103710.jpg

Fried cassava. A type of snack that we often find in rural areas. A kind of old-fashioned snacks. I am very happy to find fried cassava in this cafe.

Nowadays, it is difficult to find good quality cassava in the market, which will have a soft texture when fried. Most cassava sold in the market today will have a hard texture when fried.

IMG_20241029_103758.jpg

The Fried Cassava served in this cafe has a soft texture on the inside, and crispy on the outside! Whoa, heavenly snacks!

IMG_20241029_103848.jpg

With hot sauce, the combination of savory and spicy becomes even more delicious.

IMG_20241029_103649.jpg

This taste journey really taught me about a blessed business. A culinary business that can make customers happy even with old-fashioned dishes! Stand out! 👏👏👏

ALL PHOTOS ARE MY OWN PROPERTIES TAKEN BY MYSELF.

Best Regards,

WOW. I don't know what time it is in the country where you live, here in Venezuela at the time of making this comment, it's 7.42 am, and as every Sunday in my home I am the one who makes breakfast, seeing these snacks plus the coffee, made me very hungry, so I'll go to prepare breakfast,
I'm sure those snacks are great, and a good coffee can never be missing.

but with respect to what you say about the support for small businesses is true, I think that happens anywhere in the world, in my country it is exactly the same, the lack of support for small businesses is very frequent, and also because of what you say for not being in a modern or busy area.

Hey, now in Indonesia, 7 pm 😊
I hope you had great breakfast.
Happy Sunday!

When we can, we have to support small local business. It is a must 😊 and do not ask for the discount.

Good morning dear friend @anggreklestari how are you?

What you say is very true, we should always be empathetic people and be more supportive in helping others, especially if they are neighbors who are starting a business.

I love everything you have organized, I appreciate that you let us know about this experience

It's so sad that people around us often don't support local businesses, especially when they’re trying so hard to make something good.

I love how it brings back memories of school days and still makes people happy with simple, delicious treats like fried cassava.

It’s a reminder that even small businesses can make a big impact if we just give them a chance

That's why it's not easy to run a business, especially a culinary business. But nothing is impossible if we don't give up.
Hey, thanks for visiting. Have a great day!

That looks like a very cozy and calm place to enjoy some coffee and a snack. The crispy snack looks very inviting too. I can see why you like to eat in that area. I love the naturalness of the tree and other green plants and I love their little outdoor shelves with reading material.

In fact, when I passed by the place at night, the cafe was busier. It seems they have a lot of loyal customers :)

So sorry to hear about the problems of small business in your area, when a community it's not supportive it's really hard surviving for a businesses, here in Italy we have a similar problem, small business rarely survives but because usually are all concentrated in the same area and because people prefers big and famous business.

I think every small local place has something unique and they will always have fans if they have good service at prices that are within the means of the people around them.

I like to visit new and hideaway places. You never know what you will discover. People often get strange about new things and people. I recently moved to a small town and at the beginning. I got the side too. Hopefully, the business will survive until the neighbours warm up. Entertaining post.

Exactly, visiting new places is my favorite. We can get a lot of surprises in new places, also of course get to know new tastes of various foods that we may have never known before

I hope that small places will always serve the people around them and nothing will change. Everything is good :)

The way you describe the place makes one want to visit, sometimes we have great places nearby to visit and we don't value it, I love how the cassava looks, so crunchy.😍😋

This little place is right in front of my old junior high school. So I was really happy to be here. Plus, they have great food and coffee at a cheap price!

That's sad, but yeah, as you have mentioned, maybe they're not economically well to support them. Nevertheless, the marketing strategy of that cafe to survive in such location must be commendable. I'm also interested in how they managed it so well to thrive over the years. Their cafe looks simple but inviting, and the coffee and snacks are good, too.

Here in my place, it depends on the theme. If the theme or design of that cafe is good, it just requires a few post on the internet and it will be trending. It's always the one that is Instagrammable that often thrives. It's not often the case, but mostly these days.

This cafe has good reviews on Internet. Besides the location itself is in front of big street.
Also, cheap price but good quality of menu it is playing important rules to good enough to survive 😊

I love your message about supporting local businesses. Small business is essential to the economy of a community. Plus, it's nifty to have such a cool place to drink coffee.

It takes courage and initiative to open a shop like that. Success helps everyone.

Also, those were tasty treats :))

Coffee & Casava looks tempting..

After all, small places that understand the comfort and tastes of the people around them will survive for a long time, especially if they don't take too much of a cut of their prices.

It happens in our place too.. it's more like, they envy those people having able to put up a business, which is something they can't..
Sometimes, it is applicable to relatives.. they would support other people but not their own relatives.. that's harsh reality.. so some usually thrive and succeed in a new place..

I felt sad about the mindset of the people in your area @anggreklestari
Honestly, the design of the cafe is unique and attractive. I liked the vines and the plants around it. The presentation of their food is also good, and the food looks tasty. How I wish I was there to try their menu. 😊
I love to buy and support local cafes and other shops in the place where I live.In fact, I can save money because the price is lower compared to well-known stores. 😊
