My Favorite Sugar Free Green Juice Recipe

The combination of sweet ripe pineapple and green veggies is a delicious healthy drink.

A simple tip for making juice without sugar is to choose a type of fruit that is sweet and smells good. This type of fruit will easily distract from the strong taste of green leaves.

To be honest, I'm still a relatively new fan of green juice. About a year since I started a healthy lifestyle. I was looking for a recipe for a delicious combination of juice and fruit.

Fruit and vegetable juices also help me to still have delicious drinks to accompany me as. As a substitute for coffee which is usually enough to make me enthusiastic and feel fresh.

The thing that felt the difference in my body when I reduced my sugar consumption was that I felt fresher. Also, my body doesn't get tired easily. In the past, standing too much to create cooking content made my legs quickly become sore. Now, I don't feel that way anymore. But for the record, I also do exercise regularly, starting from walking, aerobics, and lifting weights with dumbbells, even if only at home.

Well, back to the topic. There are so many vegetable and fruit juices that I like, I have a top list for green juice. It was pineapple and mustard greens juice.

Cheap and Easy to Get

The combination of pineapple juice and mustard greens is at the top of the list of favorite green juices because they are cheap and easy to get in my area. Also, I often grow my own mustard greens in my home garden.

Pineapples in my area are very sweet. Pineapples are also good for making juice for weight loss diets. Also, good for female organs. So, I love choosing pineapple to combine with green vegetables.

I will try to list several combinations of green leaves and fruits that you might be able to use as a reference. But the list below is not in the top list, for several reasons.

  • pineapple, apple, spinach Apples are expensive in my area. So feel free to add Apple if apples in your area are cheap.
  • pineapple, celery, ginger the taste is so good. But unfortunately, the type of celery used for juice here is quite expensive! Pfft.

Using Hydroponic Green Leaves

Currently, there are many hydroponic products available on the market. The reason I chose hydroponic products for green leaves is because the taste of green leaves is less strong.

For example lettuce and mustard greens which I think have a milder taste. Also, organic. So this will be a good reason for those of you who are just learning to love green juice.

Look at the hydroponic mustard greens I bought at the market. Looks very fresh and crunchy! Hydroponic vegetables also make it easier for me to store them to keep them fresh for several days. I simply put them in a glass filled with water, which I then store in the refrigerator.




THE INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2 pineapple or 250 grams
  • a handful of mustard greens
  • 250-300 ml of water
  • ice cubes for serving



Just Blend And Go!

Well, before blending, I have to peel the pineapple. That was the hardest job to do because I used fresh pineapple. But it is fun to do.

After peeling the pineapple, I cut the pineapple into smaller pieces, and put them in the blender. Followed by adding the mustard greens to the blender.

Add drinking water, then blend well. After that, filter the juice before serving.

This is just optional. We can drink this juice with the pulp without straining them.


SERVING

Serve green juice with ice cubes after strain the pulp. Then, I add roasted pineapple and a blue pea flower for garnishes.

There's one thing I learned this time. I made roasted pineapple in the air-fryer and it was really delicious! Of course I use roasted pineapple for serving.

Green juices are very healthy, as you explain in your recipe when we use green juices it is good to use sweet fruits that help to distract the flavor, especially if we add ingredients with strong flavors such as ginger. This way, we enjoy the drink while taking advantage of the nutrients. Pineapple is an excellent addition to green juices, it is diuretic and contains many vitamins. Cheers.
