Making Gifts From My Garden Harvest

Sharing is addictive. And seeing others smile happily receiving gifts from us is a priceless happiness.

My garden is a gift and blessing from God for me. Every day is a blessing. There will be no satisfying harvest without God's intervention. That's why since the beginning of gardening, I wanted my garden to be my way to do a lot of good. I don't want my harvest to be enjoyed by myself.

This is about what is planted from the beginning in the mindset. Indeed, I am the one who works hard to plant and care for various plants until harvest. But that doesn't mean I have to spend it all. In fact, from our success in caring for plants, there are other people who have the right to receive the harvest from us.

I have a good philosophy. Giving is like cutting a basil plant. Although in general it seems like just throwing away the tops of the plant, the more often we cut the tops of the basil plant, the more the basil plant will grow its leaves.

That's why I also interpret that sharing is a great fertilizer for life. Sharing with others will grow many good things in our lives, even though at first we cannot see the results of the goodness we create.

This time I join the garden theme about GIFT and you can also join the excitement of this theme too.

Do you ever make gifts out of things in your garden?

I really enjoy sharing, so I am very happy to make gifts from the harvest from my garden.

There are several types of vegetables that I do plant in large quantities because they are also easy to grow. Most are green vegetables.

Such as water spinach, pagoda mustard greens, pak choi, also cucumbers and others.

To add a neat impression, I like to tie the water spinach with "fresh" tape that is usually attached to vegetable packaging at the market.

This looks more beautifully, right? I always hope that people who receive gifts from my garden will be happy. At least, I have seen them smile and excited when receiving gifts from me.

Those are the things that ultimately keep me excited about gardening and I hope my garden can always bring a lot of happiness to the people around me. Especially, my family members, and also my neighbors.

By making gifts regularly from my garden, I am also grateful that I have created a sense of friendship and togetherness. In this life, I want no one to be hostile, especially in my neighborly life. So, giving gifts from the garden is very enjoyable.

My neighbors and my family members love to cook. So I am excited to give the harvest from my garden for them to cook.

Hopefully my garden can continue to live sustainably and continue to be able to share with those around me. ❤️🌱🥦

Alas, my gardening for the year is over. Way too cold for anything to grow and soon our days will be very short too. I have thought about maybe growing some runner beans or corn in a container, but I have yet to find the time. I have to paint my window and door trim this weekend, before the temperatures simply wouldn't allow it. Look forward to seeing how you use your fabulous greens.

Absolutely love your metaphors here!

Giving is like cutting a basil plant. Although in general it seems like just throwing away the tops of the plant, the more often we cut the tops of the basil plant, the more the basil plant will grow its leaves.

Absolutely spot on.

My fav writer and chef! ❤️ Happy to greet you. It's been a while since I've read you, but boy have I been busy since then. It's so nice to come across your blog and find what you tell us today, the sharing, and it's not just about sharing anything, but what you sow with so much love and effort.

I admire very much what you say here, I am happy and at the same time I am not surprised because the eyes are the window of the soul and what I see in yours is pleasing and have the presence of God. I am sure all the gifts you have made and will make are well received, and that will be returned to you in blessings. Happy mid week Anggrek!...

The smile on people's faces when gifts are given to them says a whole lot already. Giving gifts to people is one thing and them appreciating these gifts is another thing. I'm glad you always have a bountiful enough harvest to share with loved ones and neighbors.

Cheers to more bountiful harvest ✨😊
