July Garden Journal On Lestari's Garden

Every small change is the beginning of success, even though we don't know when that success will come.

Gardening activities have actually taught me many things, especially about deepening the philosophy of life. It's not just about patience, but also about growing into a better person.

Maybe we haven't realized that small changes can also be significant. If we often watch seeds grow sprouts and become plants, it will teach us that to become something, we have to start from the smallest thing.

So, don't be afraid to start with small steps. It will mean a big change in your life. Especially for making changes in your personality, especially through garden activities.

For the July Garden Journal, I only have plants, not as many as in the previous phase. But it was a positive thing and taught me to be mindful. That every day in this life is never the same. There is a process of change. And the most important thing is not to be afraid of change.

To start my July Garden Journal, I'm going to tell you about my last Chilli plant that lasted the longest in the garden. 7 months and these are the chili fruits from this plant. Thank you, beautiful chilies for giving me lots of spices for my cooking.

Some are about to expire, there are also some that I have just planted after repeated harvest phases. There are various plants including cooking spices that can be planted and harvested many times. One of them is chives and also lemongrass.

I just harvested these chives a few days ago. Then, I transferred them to new polybags. Initially, they were all just in two large polybags. For this new phase, there are several smaller polybags.

For lemongrass, I plant them in several clumps and I trim their leaves so they grow well.

Meanwhile, I also have chili plants which I have been replanting for a month. I cut the tops of the plants so that later the chili plants would have lots of branches and produce lots of chili fruit.

Next we will look at plants that are developing well. There is a curly tomato that survives, while its friends have died from the rain and wind.

There are also other tomatoes that look fertile but have not yet produced fruit. Some of the flowers only fell off after being hit by wind rain and I moved the tomato plants. I hope this will be okay.

The next one, I have shallot plants that I planted at the end of last month and now they are growing well. I am very happy that my knowledge of growing shallots has increased and I can handle it when onion bulbs fail to grow. When the onion bulb fails to sprout, cut off the top end of the shallot again. This method is quite successful. So, next time I will plant more shallots since the price of shallots is always expensive in my area.

The next one is my favorite newcomer. Called Mustard Pagoda. Still in one family together with mustard green plants. This is my first time growing this beautiful flower plant. People say that the taste of Pagoda Mustard is similar to the taste of pak choy. Let's see when I harvest them later. :)

This month, at the beginning of the month, I harvested my pak choy, which I posted in the previous post. So, now all that's left is the mustard greens. These Mustard greens will be ready to harvest next week.

Another plant that is also ready to harvest in the next week is a taro plant. I have a huge taro plant. Meanwhile, I will move the baby taro plants later. This taro is 7 months old and has entered harvest time.

Enough for garden journaling for this July. Happy gardening!

Among all these plants, the tomato plant needs the most water. Tomato plants also require the most maintenance. Taro plant is a plant that grows anywhere. It is really very beneficial for a diabetic patient. @anggreklestari

Gardening activities have actually taught me many things, especially about deepening the philosophy of life. It's not just about patience, but also about growing into a better person...

Every activity we perform is an opportunity to grow wiser, better. Garnening is special as you actually see living beings growing, flowering, bearing their fruits and coming to the end of their cicles. You get the opportunity to modify their lives for better, which teaches us responsibility. I can tell you that, in my particular case, raising a child, starting and running a project, and growing a garden have had a lot in common.

Your garden looks great, and hopefully your tomato plants will thrive and give you joy soon.

Have a productive and happy week ahead!

What beautiful words, I certainly have that same feeling of what gardening can teach you in your personal life. On the other hand your ajies look gandiosos and the rest of the crops also look great, here the batastas , which I think is the one you call tarot plant, are still small , I already want them big, now I am in search of the purple ones to have them in the garden .

Happy to see the growth of your garden along with that beautiful personal reflection 💜.

You have an excellent orchard, and you have it well designed. Renovating and introducing new spices is very smart. You are very good with chilies. Excellent day to you dear @anggreklestari. 🥰❤️❤️

Thank you for reminding us to start small that eventually leads us the path of success someday. This post is inspiring and gives us learning about life just like plants. Anyway, I can see that you're good at taking care of your own plants. It's always nice to prepare food on the table that comes from your own garden.

Those crops really look good! All nice and fresh green leaves! Aren't your plants being eaten by snails and slugs? We really have an invasion of them at the moment, so most of my crops get eaten.
