If You're Unmotivated, Read This Blog

Life is too expensive to be left without us doing something.

Who is your biggest enemy? Not anyone, but only yourself. Especially our own thoughts. When we grow up and start to stabilize in our careers, we get used to facing many external enemies. But, we still have our biggest enemy from within, namely ourselves.

The biggest enemy also keeps changing like the mind never stops. If we cannot control our thoughts, then our thoughts are actually very evil. Do you believe in that?

Unfortunately, we often feel unmotivated. The more comfortable we feel with ourselves, the more afraid we become to move. We are afraid to take new steps, and we feel like failures!

Well, let me take a sip of my hot coffee first. This is my cup of coffee before it gets dark. I decided to stop at my favorite cafe to work online.

D1BBB6B8-EB0D-49CB-89CF-B6896368168D.jpeg
The color of the cup is red, which ignites enthusiasm. But actually, I also often feel unmotivated. That's natural because we are only human. And, my job is to fight my enemy.

What do you do if you lack or are not motivated? Because I like watching and reading books, I usually choose sad genres.

I remembered a sad film that I watched last night. It really made me cry and also made me angry at the "enemy within me".

The film is entitled, "The Color Of Paradise". This film comes from Iran and was released in 1999. I don't even know why I watched this film. It started with a review that passed on my YouTube homepage which then made me interested in watching the film.

Well, long short story, I burst into tears when I saw that film. The main character, who is a blind boy, made me realize that I must continue to be grateful, and never stop being grateful for even a second.

The main character of the film is ignored by his widowed father. In fact, his father entrusted him to someone else because his father felt embarrassed and tired of having a blind child.

The main character has a high enthusiasm for life and cares about those around him, and is willing to learn new things even though he cannot see. This made me realize that I shouldn't have time to complain.

I brewed more coffee which was cold, but still delicious. I still remember the film I watched. A film with a simple story but somehow the acting of the main character, the little boy, makes me embarrassed if I feel unmotivated.

In this life, there are many things we can do. But damn, sometimes I just feel useless. Are you like that too?

Well, fighting against your own thoughts is the hardest. But to raise our motivation again, we just need to look at people who are weaker than us. Come on, we are too weak if we have to continue to be unmotivated in difficult situations.

If all the difficult obstacles even make us unmotivated, then what else can we do to become even better? Isn't the craziest encouragement to have difficulties in life and be considered useless by others?

we just need to look at people who are weaker than us.

I agree with you ma'am, looking at those people who have less makes you rethink that there's no reason to remain unmotivated where you are more blessed.

being unemployed with no source of income for a while made me demotivated a bit haha...but I want to continue what I am doing and hopefully succeed in it..
it's normal to lose motivation once in a while, but we should be mindful and think of a way to conquer challenges.

The mind is very powerful, and you have to train it to achieve positive things with it.
It is true that we are our worst enemy when we become negative and conspire with our mind against ourselves, the key is to stay positive.
There are movies that have an effect on us, and many times we realize that there are people in worse situations than ours.
I loved your post, it invites you to reflect. Thank you very much for that dear friend @anggreklestari

Hey Anggrek!
That movie sounds like a heavy plot, with a bright light.
Yes, we can be our own enemies, but once we realise that, it's up to us to dedicate time to training our minds to think differently. With practice, our minds can go into the default of positive thinking over the negative one.
Coffee is my Saviour. I shall not want Coffee maketh in green pastures and plantations Coffee restoreth my soul Coffee leadeth me in the paths of green hilly pastures For Caffeeine name sake. Yea though the work is h.jpg

You are right my friend, we must be able to control our thoughts because they are within, if not they can ruin our life. The face of this coffee is looking fulfilling 😄😄😀. Everything you said here also refer to me.. but we must not give up and be strong. Thanks for sharing.

Inspiring post. I agree that to feel unmotivated is a powerful internal enemy.
To me the photography helps to counter this feeling. I search for beautiful or interesting images in order to capture them or I start working in some of the photos in my collection.

Hey, @anggreklestari! What a thoughtful post. I read it even when I'm in good spirits actually, hehe. I totally agree; sometimes we can fall down the hole of discouragement and once there, it's difficult to get out without some help. It's great when we learn to become our own helping hand and it's even better when we can teach someone else to do it; perhaps they will help us out of the hole someday, one of those days when we forget we can actually manage. It happens.

Your garden is looking really good, by the way; it's an inspiration ✴️
Thank you so much for the tour!

Have a great day, gorgeous friend ☕❤️

Hello friend, each of the words you share with us is very beautiful, where life is one and you have to enjoy it and at the same time continue, where we have all gone through those types of moments, where we have to seek help and continue. Beyond having a coffee or simply being able to visit those places, they help us to lift our spirits.

Oh! I have already said that you have a very pleasant voice, watching videos and listening to you is so soothing and at the same time inspires you to work in the garden :-)

I don't have enough time for this at all, and sometimes
I don't even have the desire.

Our self is our greatest enemy, and I can't agree more. I've been demotivated a lot of times, and although it's normal, I believe letting it rule my life would hinder us from doing amazing things.

Thanks for the inspiring post and the movie recommendation. I just finished "Manchester by the sea" and I have mixed feelings after watching it. I think I should also include this movie in my movie list. Movies with this theme really open up my way of thinking as an adult.

Your reflection on the inner struggles we face is truly insightful. It's so true that our biggest enemy often resides within us, manifesting through our own doubts and fears. Watching "The Color of Paradise" seems to have been a deeply moving experience for you, serving as a powerful reminder of gratitude and perseverance. It's inspiring how the film's message helped you combat those feelings of unmotivation. Your suggestion to look at those who face greater challenges as a way to reignite our own motivation is a valuable perspective. I’ll definitely check out your blog and YouTube channel for more inspiration! 🍿🎬

That's right, our brain is our own worst enemy!😓

In this sense, I have felt unmotivated many times, especially at this stage of my life, but it's something I constantly struggle with looking for ways to erase such negative thoughts. For example, drawing and painting helps me a lot, going for a walk or doing some exercise. The other thing that helps me fight those thoughts that make me feel like what I have is not enough, is to disconnect from social media like instagram.

I will look for the movie you are recommending, it looks interesting and I think it will make me cry! Hehe!

That's right, we should complain less and focus on what we do have and be thankful for how lucky we are, because there are people in worse conditions!

Thanks for sharing your reflections and I enjoyed watching your video harvesting onions and chilies, it's certainly a way to save some money!

Sorry for the testament! Hehe ☺️
