A Large Park In The Middle Of An Industrial City
A recreation area with a combination of parks and jogging tracks which is a source of green spaces in Batam City, which is a hot industrial city.
TAMAN RUSA is located in Batam City, Riau Islands province, Indonesia. TAMAN RUSA in English is deer park. Once we explore deeper into this place, we realize that this tourist spot is quite large. Around 12.2 hectares which combines gardens, jogging tracks, as well as a little space for a zoo such as deer and poultry.
From the entrance, we can see statues of large deer as symbols of this park. I also paid an entrance ticket of $0.7 per person.
We can see two large statues at the forefront of this place. It looks dashing and invites curiosity about what the deer in this park are like. It's been a long time since I saw a deer.
The first thing is that there are lots of tall, shady trees. This is good and needed by visitors because Batam City is really hot because it is influenced by industrial areas and sea areas.
Meanwhile, the various pathways look clean and neat and have been paved. This also avoids getting muddy when the rainy season arrives. The important thing is that this place is also used for jogging tracks. So, various paths should be comfortable for jogging and walking.
PHOTO BOTH
Today's tourist attractions specifically have a photo area because visitors really like to take photos and share their visit to the place on various social media. In this park, there is a marker for photo both space.
Indeed, there is a lot of space that we can use as a place to take photos. But in this space, this park provides various interesting properties to beautify the photos we capture.
Starting from the pathway which is colored colorful and has a white dot pattern. Then, around the area there are huts for sitting and resting.
On the other side, there is also a spot in the shape of a heart. From this spot we can look into other lower areas of the park. So, the point of view leads to a wider view. From this spot we can also see a pond in the middle of a beautiful garden.
A HUGE FISH POND IN THE MIDDLE OF THE GARDEN
In my opinion, the main attraction of this place is not the deer even though the name of this place is a deer park. There is a large fish pond in the middle of the park which is a main attraction for visitors.
The large fish pond has a bridge on the side and a small spot for taking photos. This fish pond also has several fountains. Unfortunately, when I arrived, the fountain was not on. Below I have included a photo of this fish pond with the fountain running. I took the photo from a source.

STONEHENGE SPOT
The other side of this deer park are large stone monuments resembling the monuments on Salisbury Plain, England. I was amazed by this Stonehenge spot. In my opinion, this would be a good spot for a pre-wedding photo session. :)
The large, bold stone monuments seem to make this park even more exotic. The existence of the Stonehenge spot makes this park more diverse. It seems that the local government wants to make this place an iconic tourist spot in the Riau Islands province.
SEEING THE DEER
One thing I have to tell you if you want to see the deer in this park. You just need luck. The large deer breeding area next to this park makes it seem like the deer are hiding from visitors.
I was lucky to see the deer even at the end of the park. I also had to zoom the photo to be able to photograph the deer so they could be seen clearly in the photo.
In one source from online website, there is a clearer picture of the deer below:

OTHER STUFF
A wall art with deer theme
Apart from the main fish pond, there is a fish pond on the other side of the park which is also large. It is enough to make this park a place for refreshing and complete recreation.
You can see here there are lots of children playing. There are also several people who hold picnics in this park area.
Meanwhile, like city parks in general, this deer park has various unique garden accessories.
Like park benches that are designed to look like wooden logs. Also, gazebos can be used as places for family gatherings to be more enjoyable.
Overall, I have to say that this deer park is not just a jogging track as well as a tourism spot. This deer park is quite good at carrying out its role as a green open area that the local community needs, also local and foreign tourists.

What a large and charming park, there are many beautiful things to see, I love nature, and there is a lot of it here. The umbrella path and mural look great.
Beautiful photographs, I appreciate you sharing this beautiful visiting experience with us.
have a great day
I love to be there because a huge park with many different views😊
Are deer always loose or hidding in a specific place? I have been to parks where they are in a contact with farms and open places, you can even feed them and that makes them more accustomed to the presence of humans, however I find that it stresses them a bit especially when there are many children.
I thought because the park is too large 😅
Yeah in the past, in the another park, I can feed deer with carrots
Seems like a very nice place/ beautiful park with nice photos. I think anybody can enjoy this kind of place. Greeting dear. :)
I really enjoy being there especially seeing hidden deer behind trees :)

It's a beautiful park, and so large! I think tourists will be happy to visit this park; meanwhile, the children seem to be taking great advantage of the park. Nice!
I thought of Stonhenge as soon as I saw the thumbnail. I noticed the druids are missing 😂 Just kidding; it's a nice place for a photo shoot session as you say.
The umbrellas will always take us to Mary Poppins--and Brooklyn, and so other places which have recreated the umbrella roof; there's a little one near my job in the neighboring state. I'll post the photo here if I can find it--. I saw a news a few days ago where they said the actress who played the original Mary Poppins died (can't recall her name right now). Anyway, thanks a lot for the beautiful post and the tour!
these days, indeed people are getting creative. bringing design inspired by another country
in my city, so many hanging colorful umbrellas as accessories for outdoor places. :)
