Hello friends diners of the #foodie community, for today I bring you a plate for lunch full of protein and a lot of energy, it is a pea soup, although I confess that I am not a lover of this type of grains, today my wife convinced me to prepare this dish these grains are different from the peas that I have seen before these are whole grains that by the way are harder and take literally forever, I almost ran out of gas 😀 the good thing from so much waiting is that they were super tasty and so here I show you how to prepare it.
- 2 Tz of pea grains
- 3 Tz of water. ( To start )
- ½ onion diced
- Celery Spain about two branches
- 1 carrot, diced
- 3 garlic cloves
- Salt to taste
- 2 Tz de granos de arvejas
- 3 Tz de agua. ( Para comenzar )
- ½ cebolla picada en cuadritos
- Apio España unas dos ramas
- 1 zanahoria picada en cuadritos
- 3 dientes de ajo
- Sal al gusto
To start with this dish, I made it the day before, take the grains and leave them in water overnight to soften them a bit, the next day discard the water, wash them and remove some shells that I had thrown away the grain and then take it to the fire and start its cooking process. Every 20 minutes or more we have to be aware that the grains do not run out of water, since they are very hard and take a long time to soften and therefore the water it evaporates and you have to add constantly until the grains are soft.

While the grains are cooking I began to season the dressings, I put them in a pan with a little oil and Worcestershire sauce, I let them fry for about 5 minutes and I added them to the grains so that they take on flavor.
The preparation of this dish took me about 4 hours, of course it is starting from the morning so that it would be ready for lunchtime, and what takes the most time is cooking, so that the peas soften, but It's worth the wait, since they were very tasty, and in the following images I show you how our dish turned out.
