Hello friends diners of the #foodie community, for today I bring you a plate for lunch full of protein and a lot of energy, it is a pea soup, although I confess that I am not a lover of this type of grains, today my wife convinced me to prepare this dish these grains are different from the peas that I have seen before these are whole grains that by the way are harder and take literally forever, I almost ran out of gas 😀 the good thing from so much waiting is that they were super tasty and so here I show you how to prepare it.

Hola que tal amigos comensales de la comunidad #foodie, para el día de hoy les traigo un plato para el almuerzo lleno de proteínas y mucha energía, se trata de una sopa de arvejas, aunque les confieso que no soy amante de este tipo de granos, hoy mi esposa me convenció de preparar dicho plato estos granos son diferentes a las arvejas que eh visto con anterioridad estos son grano entero que por cierto son más duros y tardan literalmente una eternidad, casi se me acaba el gas😀 lo bueno de tanta espera es que quedaron super sabrosos y así que a continuación les muestro como lo prepare.


Ingredients

  • 2 Tz of pea grains

  • ½ onion diced

  • 1 carrot, diced
  • 3 garlic cloves

Every 20 minutes or more we have to be aware that the grains do not run out of water, since they are very hard and take a long time to soften and therefore the water it evaporates and you have to add constantly until the grains are soft.

Para empezar con este plato, lo hice desde el día anterior, tome los granos y los dejé en agua toda la noche para que se ablande un poco, al día siguiente deseche el agua, los lave y quite algunas conchas que había botado el grano para luego llevarlo al fuego y comenzar su proceso de cocción.cada 20 minutos o más haya de estar pendientes de que no se nos quede sin agua los granos, ya que son muy duros y para ablandar cuesta mucho tiempo y por ello el agua se evapora y hay que ir agregando constantemente hasta que estén blandos los granos.

While the grains are cooking I began to season the dressings, I put them in a pan with a little oil and Worcestershire sauce, I let them fry for about 5 minutes and I added them to the grains so that they take on flavor.

Mientras se cocinan los granos empecé a sazonar los aliños, los lleve una sartén con un poquito de aceite y salsa inglesa, los dejé freír por unos 5 minutos y se los agregué a los granos para que vallan tomando sabor.

The preparation of this dish took me about 4 hours, of course it is starting from the morning so that it would be ready for lunchtime, and what takes the most time is cooking, so that the peas soften, but It's worth the wait, since they were very tasty, and in the following images I show you how our dish turned out.

La elaboración de este plato me llevo alrededor de una 4 horas, claro está empezando desde la mañana para que estuviese listo para la hora del almuerzo, y lo que más lleva tiempo es la cocción, para que las arvejas se ablande, pero vale la espera, ya que estuvieron muy sabrosas, y en las siguientes imágenes les muestro como quedó nuestro plato.
